OK...I think everybody can't wait to try this, but. I am guessing you can't use a 5 wt. to fish for stripers. My brother and I have been wanting to give this a shot. Fly rod size? What size, do you use a spey rod? Lines to use? Flies? Are their any guides on Beaver who specialize in this area? Did anybody else get giddy when this topic was started?

Just did notice, I wished I could be of some help. It has been years since I have fished them. I used to fish them all the time. Grand Lake just got to crazy. 80 mph bass boats, and so many water skiers, you spent more time cursing than you did fishing. Felt like rush hour in NYC. Sure have caught alot of crappie in those waters. Brings back some good fishing memories with dad and friends. I will do my best to get as much information on whats going on. I can also tell you of old haunts I used to fish.

Tippit..I was actually going to buy some Bolle's. I have several pair, but none of the amber colored lens. Did have some of the rose colored for shooting. Gave a new meaning to "looking through rose colored glasses".
