  5. We held our 29th Annual tournament at Lilley's Landing and had a great time although the fishing was a bit challenging. Our 1st place team of Jim Waibel,David Oser & Randy Fry who also caught the big rainbow fished down by Monkey island and below catching their stringer of fish on mega bass and pointer lures as well as cleos. The 2nd place team was Gary Peterson,Jaret Peterson & Ryan Kennedy caught their fish in front of Fall Creek dock on powerbait. 3rd place was Dan Richerson and myself and we caught our fish on Thomas Buoyant spoons and minnows below Short Creek in front of old River Lake resort. Our guys reported catching quite a number of brown trout in the 15 to 16 inch category this weekend with a real nice 22 incher caught on Saturday. Our weigh-in was supervised by none other than Phil Lilley himself of which we appreciated very much. He and his staff did an excellent job this weekend for us. Cudos to all and Thank you again. We will return again next year at the same time. In closing I would like to thank the guys that fished this year and hope to see you again next year. Sincerely Pete
  6. Congratulations on entering into the realm of fishing with a flyrod which is the most fun you can have catching fish with. Should you decide to tie your own flies and attempt to catch fish with them then you will have been bitten by the trout gods for sure. Good luck and enjoy!
  7. We held our 28th annual tournament on March 4th with great success considering the conditions, windy, windy and more wind. Winning team had 8.70lbs.,2nd with 8.16lbs. and 3rd 7.16lbs. Big fish was a 2.00lb rainbow not bad for once a year trout fishermen. We threw most everything in the tackle box but in the end it was minnows and worms that caught most of the fish especially when the water was runnin albeit they did not run much. Wish to thank the Lilley staff for makeing everything go so smooth it really helps to have people work with you and they do a great job.
  8. Leonard have you fished the PMS below Fall Creek and if so how?
  9. I caught a female fish back in January that was 33 inches long. I don't know how old she was but she is still growing....I released her!
  10. Very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr.Elfrink I only knew him by fishing in tournaments but spoke with him several times. He always had time to offer suggestions on how I might better find and catch fish and I appreciated that very much. People like him are special even to those who only knew him a little and were blessed by his generosity and candor. May God Bless

  15. Leonard glad to hear you finally tried the pointer and it worked for you. It will catch most anything that swims if you have the patience and persistance to fish it. 17. We held our 27th annual tournament on March 6 at Lilley's Landing. Everyone caught fish as they had a little water moving on Sunday. Most of the fish were caught on bait be it minnows, worms or Power bait. Our winners and 2nd place got all their fish on minnows and 3rd place were caught on inflated nightcrawlers. Big fish was taken and released on a minnow. On Saturday we had a 3.5lb. rainbow caught on a minnow and 2.5 rainbow caught on a Megabass smolt trolling just blow old River Point. Wish to thank everyone at Lilley's for their assistance as it sure made things run easier for us.
