    Ramps

I'm coming down in the morning, putting on somewhere on the lower end probably. Heard that there were some ramps that were getting hard to use with the lower water, anybody had any problems? Thanks!
  3. What part of the lake are you fishing?
  4. Managed to get in about 8 hours this weekend. We fished a couple of hours right before dark and from 6 to 11 Saturday morning. Fished from the 51 to 67 MM. Couple of feet of visibility at the 51 to murky up around the 67. Caught a 5 1/2 out of the back of a cove around a beaver dam on a buzzbait Thursday right before dark. Caught 4 more keepers Saturday morning -three on t-rigged plastics flipped to the outer edges of the docks and one 2 3/4 on a buzzbait (those 5 keepers pushed 15 pounds). They were pretty scattered - most of our bites came out closer to the main lake. We fished a lot of brush - both shallow and a little deeper without much luck.
  5. I'd say it is a just a sharp dropping bank - 45 to vertical - but Bass Fanatic would have to say for sure what he meant by it.
  6. I fished a tournament down there last weekend (6/10) and it was pretty tough. We caught about 20 but really had to work at. Didn't have anything of any size. We fished dirty water in both the Pomme and Lindley. Didn't find any fish very shallow and the bites were scattered. Everyone in the tourney struggled - did have one nice 3.5 pounder caught on a bluff end.
  7. Went down on Thursday and found plenty ot 12" and 13" fish up in the bushes. We mainly flipped the outsides - never went up and tried to get deep into the middle of them. Our better fish came out deeper and off the bank aways. Found most of our fish out close or on the main lake. I think our best 5 probably were between 10 1/2 to 11 pounds but didn't keep track as well as I normally would. Water was mid to upper 70's. Stayed in the Lindley mainly.
  8. Thanks!
  9. What was the water temp? What area of the lake were you in? Dirty, stained, etc? Thanks!
  10. Anybody been on Pomme recently? I've got a good friend in the Air Force coming home this week and planning to take him to Pomme on Thursday. I haven't been on the lake in over a month - haven't seen much info (tournaments or reports) lately.
  11. I'm headed down tomorrow afternoon - gonna stay around Linn Creek too. What's the water color in that area? I've never fished much in the upper 20MM's - may try some of that area this weekend.
  12. How far up river is the Cave Hole?
  13. Hey, Thanks for the help. I had Angler's Port pull mine off and I think that is where they are sending for diagnosis. Just looking for options before I find out what mine might cost to repair. Thanks!
  14. My Minn Kota Maxxum quit on me today. Looking for something used or refurbished. Would prefer a Maxxum 74 or 80# with 42" shaft, foot controlled, and 24 v. If you have one or know someone/dealer that might, let me know. Thanks!
  15. Glad to see that it is fishing so well, a lot of our lakes don't get enough credit nationally. It will be interesting to see how the weights hold up over 4 days.
  16. Thanks for the report!
  17. Fished in the Gravois Thursday - mainly Mill Creek and Indian Creek. Water temps were 65 to 68. Cloudy all day with some wind and a few sprinkles. Saw plenty of smaller bass in the shallows and a few crappie as well. We caught about 25 bass but most of those were shorts. 5 best were around 13. Lost a couple of fish that would've been between 3 and 4 pounds (one that threw a texas rig and another that broke off a wiggle wart right under the boat). Caught several fish super shallow (making long casts) and a few in the 5-8 foot range. Caught fish on shakey heads, brush hogs, carolina rigs, and wiggle warts. Most came on pea gravel and a few came just outside of the pea gravel on chunk rock banks. Had a bunch of fish that weren't eating it very well and couldn't get a hook in them. The bass we saw on beds weren't locked on and would ease off into the deeper water when we got too close - never showed any interest in our bait
  18. We were able to squeeze a last minute trip in this weekend. We didn't get on the water till 3:30 yesterday and fished till about 6:45 Saturday afternoon. Could only fish from 6:15 to 12 today. We spent both days in the Proctor Creek and Rainey Creek areas. Water temp was 70 degrees yesterday afternoon and started at about 65 this morning. Main lake is muddy but we did find some clearer water in the coves in the creek arms. We caught 9 keepers total - best 5 were 14 pounds. We found them from the points about 1/2 way back in the coves. Some on wood, some behind docks. We didn't land anything over 3 pounds - my brother hooked into what I think was the biggest bass either of us have ever caught. Right behind a dock, got her up on top to the cable and saw her mouth open up and gills flare, she then made another run on him back under the dock and pulled loose before we could get to the cable. That was the only really big fish we found. We flipped a lot of similar docks (went back to that dock this morning) and couldn't ever find another big one. One of the nine keepers we caught had a little bit of wear on the tail. The others didn't have any. I'm assuming that the bigger fish were staged somewhere close by but we couldn't find anymore - still haven't put all of that together (anybody got any thoughts on staging pre-spawners in that part of the lake???). Crappie were shallow too. Dad went out with us for a few hours and caught about 25 combined over two days. They were anywhere from on the bank to out about 10'. Chartruese jigs, nothing too big.
  19. Missed that the first time I read it.
  20. Thanks - that is what/where we fished too. We fished that same part of the lake - just couldn't ever find a bigger fish on Saturday. We were one of the last boats off the water and missed part of the weigh in.You don't know what/where the winners caught them on do you?
  21. What tourney did you fish? What part of the lake were you fishing? We (I fished with Derek on Saturday) stayed in the lower end of the Pomme arm. We never did figure out for sure where the bigger fish were.
  22. Thanks for the info.
  23. I've never caught a smallmouth on Pomme but I have seen a few weighed in and heard about a few others being caught. Most of those seem to come from way up the Pomme arm. Largemouth fishing is getting better (always seemed to have good numbers of fish but they are getting bigger).
