  1. Thanks Everyone! I'll more than likely stop by your shop tim. I've heard good things!
  2. Me and my friend will be heading up to roaring river state park next weekend (15th,16th,and 17th)from Oklahoma. It will be the first time for both of us. We've heard many good things so we thought we would give the trout fishing a try. Whats the condition of the river? And I don't have a fly rod, but will be using an ultralight setup. What lures do you recommend? Anything else I need to be aware of? From my gatherings on the internet, I need a non resident daily fishing permit for the days I will be fishing, and just a trout tag not a permit since I will just be fishing in the park area. Is this right to your knowledge? Thanks for all the input!

  9. Hey fellow anglers!!!!!!!! I'm Brian Stanart from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I have two main passions in life, that is anything Outdoors and listening to country music. So if i'm listening to country music while doing some fishing, then life is good! The first type of fishing I was introduced to was in hidden ponds using live bait such as worms and minnows. You can't ever go wrong with live bait, but I moved on two more modern day tackle! I still love pond fishing today, but when I got older my dad started taking me catfishin' below the spillways at Grand Lake when they shut down or slow down the water and I was hooked for life. It's a lot dirtier fishing than say bass fishing with plastic worms, but it's definately the funnest I have ever done. Ohhh the monsters you can pull out of their when you throw on a whole shad is amazing! I like bass fishing, but it's probably what I do the least because me or my dad has never had a boat. However, with that said I caught a 9 lb 4 oz largemouth on a bank of a pond soo. That bad boy is now on my wall!! When I went to college at NSU in Tahlequah, I found a new love of fishing. The Illionis River. I have always loved that river before I moved to Tahlequah for college, but now it was only minutes away and man did I live on that river! Catchin smallmouth became my new favorite in the upper illinois. A little more drive and i'm doing some trout fishin' in the lower illinois. It couldn't get any better! I have had the experience to go Northern Pike fishing on Rainy Lake in Canada for a week once. It was a trip of a lifetime and man was those pikes some massive fish! Well that is a little something about me. I'm always looking for new fishin' buddies! I'm so glad I found this site. It is going to help me out a lot! Brian Stanart
