I here ya. It appears that most those guys are working for a bigger operation. They got it down pat. They bring em in to the bank. Got stations set up for cleaning. Soon as they are done its off to the market. They are targeting Talapia but they don't leave any fish behind. You could only imagine the size of bass they net. That lake has been spiraling downward for the last couple years.
That bite is probably gonna be gone by the time I get there. Ha. Thanks for the info. Gonna be at the Rock on Sat or Sunday. I will definitely have a crankbait tied on.
This is another technique I need to start doing. Do you mind sharing a few details? Depth, kind of areas you were targeting. Were they suspended or were you bumping the bottom?
I quit Co-angling because in my mind I would second guess Anglers decisions. Always kept my mouth shut but I was always told when you start second guessing the boaters decisions it's time to get in the front. So far I have had more success as a Co-angler. Ha. It's tougher being a boater for sure.
In my opinion you would only need a good sonar if that's what budget allows. Second would be the addition of GPS. Then side or down imaging. I'm with 5bites on needling all of them. I do and it is a definite advantage to have all phases working together at one time.
Thanks Alex. I know how to rig it. My problem is finding fish. My home waters are Beaver. That might be my problem right there. Gonna try Table Rock either Saturday or Sunday. People give great info on places to go. I'm not familiar with a lot of Table Rock. I usually put in at Holiday Island or Aunt's creek. Sounds like I need to be in lower end to have more success on DS.
It's my own fault. I don't take the time required to figure it out. I'm a quick learner when I can actually see it being done , but reading and applying it always takes me longer
I'm volunteering my gas, boat and food if someone would take me out and show me how to catch these drop shot fish. I struggle with this technique badly. My boat is magnetically drawn to the bank for some reason. ?
I don't think netting is legal anywhere for game fish. Glad someone called the Authorities. I've seen people keeping shorts at War Eagle Mill. These folks were Hispanic as well. I blame Game and Fish for not cracking down on this. If people would start getting fined for limit and no license violations this would stop.
