I wear Cabelas ECWCS uppers and lowers, tshirt over that, hoodie, north face puffy vest. ( I hate my arms being too bundled up) 100mph BPS suit( top and bib). Sweat pants,wool socks and usually running shoes. My feet hardly ever get cold. If they do I have gore tex Vasque boots I've had since college. For head I wear a wool beanie with fleece liner. If it's super cold I have a ninja mask similar to Gitnbys' mask but it's made of fleece. For rides down the lake I dawn the full face crotch rocket helmet and snow mobile gloves. If these things I listed don't do the trick it's probably too cold to fish.

Donna. The liner gloves provide little warmth. They are thin and have grip texture on the inside. I have owned several pair and have some now. Their best attribute is how thin they are. About the only glove I can wear while fishing. Cabelas has a sale on a lot of their fishing gloves right now. They have waterproof neoprene, some without finger tips and some windstoppers. I bought the windstoppers the other day but haven't tried them yet. They are a little thicker than UA liners and stop the wind. If I can't wear them fishing I can at least wear them driving. I prefer not to wear gloves ever but sometimes its just too cold to go without. By the way. Jerkbaits are a nightmare with those liners on. Good luck finding some gloves.

You can find some sales on that stuff every now and then. Keep an eye out for them to go on sale.

Cabelas sells it and I prefer it over under armour any day. It is pricey though. Gonna probably spend $120 for tops and bottoms. I work outside so I can justify the expense.

I went for a few hours. Put in at Holiday Island. It was dead for me. Didn't get bit on anything. I tried jigs,cranks and jerkbait. Shallow, deep,points and cuts. Nothing! It was weird.

I'm trying to get to the Holiday Island area this afternoon. If I get to go I'll post results. That wind chill is biting today. Too cold for work but not to fish?

Are you noticing craws in their mouth? Talked to a buddy of mine and he was catching them on shad colored WW but said he didn't see any evidence of them eating craws.

That is one massive body of water. 185,000 acres at full pool. We were at the dam looking north and the water went over the horizon. I did find one spot on the lake that would remind you home. It was a rock Island. I got one KY off of it with a shakey head. I had to try it.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Had 30lb braid on. It comes right through that stuff. You might have some grass get stuck on the hooks but you just smack the water with it a couple times and it comes right off.

Yep. We were fishing half mile off the bank in a grass mat section that was the size of arrowhead stadium. It was anywhere from 1ft to 7ft. Just had to toss a rattle trap and rip it through hydrilla . Lots of casting without fish. It was fun doing something different than I normally do. That cold front didn't do us any favors. It was upper 20s with a NE wind on Friday morning. They had lock jaw.

Just got back from Toledo Bend after fishing it for a few days. It was pretty tough on us. Hard to adjust to those shallow lakes with grass when we are used to these Ozark lakes. Had a good time and today's high was 67 degrees so it wasn't all bad. I definitely want to go back again. Started figuring some things out on how to catch them but had to head home. Here is a picture of my best one. Didn't weigh it but I'm guessing it was right at 5lbs.

No one has mentioned the Revo Winch. I have one and it's great. 5:4to 1 ratio I believe. About double the drag strength over regular Revo. I also have a Curado E7. Fantastic reel as well. Go with what is comfortable to your style. Can't go wrong.

It's a pain the neck but you might have to put them in the bed while you are driving then put them in the cab when you are at your destination. If you have more than one buy some stick jackets to protect them. Also at bass pro or local tackle shop they have these padded bands that allows you to bundle all your rods close together. They are less than $10 and are worth there weight in gold. I used one when I was a co-angler in BFL. They are great.

1 piece for sure. Can you specify your last question? Are you talking about storing in your home,vehicle or boat?

I'm not a big fan of them. I think the regular size guides are all around better. Someone might say different but I didn't see a significant difference in performance one way or the other. Plus if you need one replaced someday micro might be harder to find.
