Just wondering if you have gotten any scoop on the bait shop? We come across these lures at the Leon Seneker Estate Sale in Salem Mo. Leon was the son of Judge Eldred Seneker of Mt. Vernon..

I do not find the size much different than up around the Branson area...in both places the ones I catch on jigs or spinners are usually a little bigger than the ones I get on power bait.
Now we are cooking with peanut oil!! At least I know I am not the only one that looks at this thread. I like to fish the Gold Mine area. The bluff above the cable seems to always be good for a limit of trout just tossing a jig or spinner. It might take trying a few different colors but they are there.
tough fishing, water up and murky. very few fish and what was caught was in the 8"-10" range....hard to figure when we went to the 4 limit and the trout just keep getting smaller. I guess budget cuts everywhere!
I grew up in Dent County and did the Montauk opening for years. It has always been a family thing with my dad, brothers, and son. The last few years we have been going to Bennett, catch a few fish have a fish fry and enjoy the tales from years back. I am looking forward to this one, my oldest brother has not fished in 25 years but has dusted off the pole, bought new waders and accessories and I know it will be a great time....can not wait!
well I am heading that way in the morning...Those 8 inchers around the Landing and Monkey Island are not much to talk about! Wonder where all the little guys come from?
I think these regulations can be like the 5 rainbow limit, they can be argued from now until eternity if they are right or not. That's a personal preference thing.
Put in at Empire Park yesterday morning. Fished the cable and a few spots up to the 2 mile marker. Use spinners, jigs and power bait, never got a bite. The water is nasty lots of stuff floating in it. It took about 20 minutes just to get the slime washed off the boat..the survey guy came by and said fishing in that area has been terrible...
