Hey guys I need help with getting this Walleye picture for you guys to see. It is telling my girlfriend that the file is to large. I guess the picture on her phone is to big, or it mite be the fish is to big!!! no no just kidding. How do you down size the picture to get on here on this web site? If you wanna see it help a gal out because i have no clue... you gotta see this fish!!! Huck

Well I did it I caught a 28 inch Walleye he weighed almost 8 pounds !!!! So excited when landed him. I was fishing for catfish with chicken liver and it was'nt working out for me. So I caught a 4 inch long Bluegill and decited to take off the liver and put him on the hook instead. Threw him on bottem and not 10 min. later my pole started bounceing thaught it was a catfish a nice one at that but it was the biggest Walleye I have ever seen in front of me. and or caught... It was like that feeling of buck fever. And caught 2 Whites and 1 keeper crappie. Huck

thanks Straw hat we have'nt had any warm nights in awhile so I guess play the waiting game a lil more. But if i get an itch I will have to scratch it and go and find out. I will go at night want to take the kids and camp and do the night river monster action!!! Huck.

Good job Straw Hat!!!! glad to hear that you are the first one on here to get the first Cat Bite... I wish it was me... Oh well Im gonna get mine soon and very soon. I was thinking maybe fishing the flats you think that they are moveing into that shallow of water or staying a little deeper than that. I want to take my son He loves catfish!! maybe more than me. Im going with some chicken liver I have had in the Ice box. Not the frezzer I have been told that catfish dont like anything right out of the frezzer let it set out and thaw first. And I mite try some live perch have'nt had no luck with cut perch yet? Huck

I hear that I need a boat but that will be a little while for me. Money... It needs to grow on more trees. Ive been bank fishing everytime this year and last year went on a boat everytime and this year alot more fish in the freezer than last year. But Im going when I want to go and not waiting on that buddie with a boat!! That makes a big diffence too.

I dont know about all the fisherman on this site but I fell like Im a better fisherman from the bank versus on a boat! Im big on getting out deep and lureing them into the bank and getting a hit versus starting out on the bank and bringing them out to deeper water and then getting him to bite... Tell me if Im wrong. But I think if you start out from the bank and a game fish see's it what ever you got to offer and keep teaseing him in closer and closer and then he has no choose but to hit the bait because in his mind he thinks it mite get away into the rocks or trees. Im just shotin from the hip on this but I've fished on a boat and I just dont catch as many fish as I do on the Bank. I will admit that I have fished from the bank way more than a boat. Just have'nt been on a boat that much. anybody else feel the same way ? Huck

cast some chicken liver on the bottom and hang on!!!! Sorry I like catfishing everybody else on here likes Bass fishing. I dont know why but thats my opinion and fallow them cranes that are carrying off 13 in. crappie !!!! ha ha I like ha ha not lol, Im serious I follow them birds they know more than we do. They know were them fish are they dont call me Huckfinn for no reason... Nature gotta love it. Get that fish finder workin on that boat and show that Army boy how to fish there big boy. Keep it simple and you will run into fish at Stockton. Go with your gut feelings. And let the good times role. There is more than one species of fish in that lake. Huck

Here I am to save the day!!!! Im back on the computer sorry guys Ive been really busy, cutting fish and grass. Well Ranger sorry but I dont fish that far up the lake. Dont know Ruark or Ceder Ridge Im down at Highpoint area But it sounds like it has been rough out there. I have'nt been fishing sense Sunday night. It has got more cooler sense then. I dont know if you guys are'nt holding your mouth the right way, or what. I just say a little prayer before I start fishing EVERY TIME I fish!!! Simple really, Lord please take my bobber under today Lord. And then it happens it goes under just like that. It helps ALOT to have the Lord all mighty on your side, He is the one who sends the fish your way, So say a little prayer before you streach your line. And play with your Depth a little I was hitting like crazy at 4 ft, then they stopped and then I moved it a foot at a time deeper and ran into them again. Have'nt used any jigs yet, maybe later, If a guy thinks he has got it all figured out on them crappie he is an IDOT... Huck

I was wandering if anyone has landed any catfish yet? Seen a picture of a guy who had got lucky and had 5 of them and he caught them at Taylors Bridge. And seen one picture of a Big one that was caught by noodleing it. And a friend of mine caught a little one on a point at Highpoint. But that is all I have heard or seen. Straw Hat said fish the deep side of a point now is that on bottom or on a bobber? Thank for any info. Huck

Went to a different Spot to avoid people but ran int MORE people It looked like Bennet Springs out there And boats just lined up like a Marina in front of me. But I got to know the fellows next to me and they were pretty funny guys... I started nailing them right when I got there and they were sick!! Started asking where did ya get your bait and put there depth at mine and they started hitting them too. But they never landed any keepers Me and my girl go 20 nice size ones and alot of little ones and we threw 10 inches back did'nt want to clean them... So still limiting out... for now anyways. The lake mite get fished out of the big ones. Huck

I get to do a little bragging YES!!!! Finally... Got to my fishin hole at 1:00 and got my limit by 3:00 Started hitting soon as I got there and stoped for 20 min. and back on again!!! exciteing it was had 2 fish on at the same time with 2 poles flipped the crappie on the bank dropped the pole and was holding onto the other one with a 17 in. Small mouth had to reach for the net for him and got him as well... Fun fun fun. Huck

yeah I talked to A friend of mine today fishing at Stockton and that is were he goes Cape fair. Sounds like a good honey hole down there. The way he talked. I got a little break in the work day and ran down to Stockton and limited out in 2 hours. Nice size to, and 1 keeper Small Mouth. Good luck tommorow, I have got to get on this grass and get caught up or I would join up with ya. and catch some pig's, I like that... Huck

Maybe go after that cold snap pass's, Snow!!!! my goodness old man winter get out of here. I just got a phone call this morning and picked up 4 more good sized yards to mow. Gotta tame the grass before i get to go fish. Its spring and it grows like the fish are biteing right now. But I live in North Springfield what is your 20 ? Oh and what part of table rock do you like fishing because like I said last weekend was my first time fishing there. Huck

Yeah that sounds pretty nice of ya, you catchin crappie over 2 pounds or bass ? That one I caught was the second biggest crappie I have ever caught, I mean he was soooo thick!!! compared to stockton fish... I was impressed by how pretty the fish were. Not knockin on Stockton fish or anything just a different lake different fish. Yeah I would go with ya. Im no fancy fisherman but I catch fish! We went down to shell knob It was'nt that far from Springfield We burned half a tank in a car and had her run to the store a few times. And I seen a spot out on the lake there between Shell Knob and viola were there were standing trees all in the water and your gonna need a boat to get to them. Just real pretty down there. It was my first time fishing table rock. Had fun Huck.

Well Im not gonna complain about Table Rock. But there is alot of BASS!!! I caught a huge Black crappie 14 in. But after that Caught all large mouth Bass crappie was hitting on the banks Thursday and stoped on friday I got there friday night late and set up camp and missed out on the crappie. But caught 24 bass some real nice ones to... 5 14inchers caught one 17incher. Biggest Bass I have ever caught. Thought I was hung up in brush got down off the rock I was on and started to bened the hook or snap the line. And oh boy thats a fish!!!!!!! Let me tell ya he put up a fight!! And the rest were all little ones. So I did have fun but 1 crappie and no catfish bite at all... Ready to get back to Stockton the Home land. Huck

Yeah you guys got the last two good one's... My baby's momma fooled me she went fishing with me on the first date and she was a rodeo queen, and she turned out Hollywood on me she changed as soon as her friends did. Tipical women for ya. Now my 2011 model aka brand new girlfriend... she has all new gadgits on her and bells and whistles. She is gonna go rough it with me this weekend. We mite get rain on. Sat. looks nice gettin out of there before Sunday. Huck.

Went to orleans bridge sat. morning caught 5 large mouth bass and a carp not one crappie... But the evening before I new a guy fishing right there were I fished and he had a bucket full So what Im getting at is the fish are letting the all day sun warm up the night cold air and then they are hitting bait so morning's are worthless. Was for me anyway. Left there and went to Highpoint not one bite or a nibble... nothing. Warm rain's are a comein that will be nice. Lots of fisherman this year already... Guy's must be wanting to get away from the wifey's... thats one reason I dont have one. auh FREEDOM... Boy the reason I say that is. Is that guy I knew catchin fish his women was just sitting there reading a book NOT FISHING WITH HIM!!! Complaining and wanting to leave. She said lets leave at least 5 times and I was only talking to the poor guy for 4 min. at the most. Im sorry next time I see him Im gonna tell him you need au country girl buddy. But alot of them aint country either their all Hollywood now day's ... Were did all the girl fisherman go? Huck

what do you plan on doing with that jig bobber,realing it in slow or let it sit on bottom ?
