I caught a good share of my fish this past weekend on Gnat's. Cbak's did ok but not as good as usual. Wife did good on bedspread. Young son did good on cbak's and bs. Friday was pretty good Sat fair and Sun 9-11 poor. Still good to get down there. Lots of little fish though. Never fished for brookies but imagine size was about the small. Saw a white ave with a flag in the back window but came by later and it was gone.

The lime cb with grizzly has been one of our top flys also. Here's afew of our fav's I tied up. We'll be in a gold/pewter colored Avalanche with a KTM Racing sticker on the back window. Stop an say Hi.

Still showing 30% chance for isolated t-storms saturday. Seen that clear out the stream nice sometimes though. NoLuck, what size on the nats?? Got some tied up but wanna make sure I got the right size. Thanks for the info.

Wayne, u down there now? Like hearin there was some dry fly action. I love dry flyin so much I'll throw them even when the fish aren't risin. On the hopper subject, r u sayin there aren't any grasshoppers down there?

I would think it would hopper time. I've tied up some beetles I'm gonna throw. Only 10% cance of rain on Friday, 20% Sat, and 30% Sunday. Doesn't look like it's gonna get down there until the end of the weekend.

Headin down to spend the weekend with a Steffan Bros 3/4 wt. 8 ft'er. Anybody fish this weekend or this week? Gonna b a long wait to leave Thursday night!

Man, I sure hate hearin this. My wifes family has had a trailer down there for over 25 years and I joined in about 18 years ago. We just moved our trailer to a new location and we're plannin at least one or two more trips before closin it up for the winter. Makes me wanna go to Tanney but tough to spend the money for a place to stay with a trailer sittin at Bennett. Is this a temporary thing or a sad glimpse of the future??

This is the new normal. I'm afraid the "Good Old Days" are long gone. It is what it is. NoLuck ur correct, sad but true. Commercialism or what ever you want to call it is what we have to deal with now. Wish I had the financial means to alter it but I don't so it becomes the age old adage of "You play by the rules set by the ones with the money and power". I agree. Sad but true. I just wish I would of got to experience more of the good old days. Only been goin down ther the last 17 years.

I can't count the times we've found rods, fly boxes etc in the last 17 years of going down there. Always just leave it where it lays. Seems like the last few years hear more about things getting stolen out of truck beds. It's a different world than it used to be! What a shame.

Good luck! Our two youngest have been going to Bennett since they were born 13, and 16 years old, and have always been taught to leave things where they lie. My 13 year old two weeks ago saw a pair of waders fall off a truck leaving zone 2 and drive away. A "local daily fisherman" told him to go pick them up that it was a free pair of waders. He turned them in to the park store. Have always told him good turns will come back around. Just so happens a couple days later he left my spinning outfit in zone 2 but went back and it was gone. Some times you get lucky and sometimes not!

I never think to check here when I'm down. We did ok Sat and real good Sun. We caught 3 that were probably between 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. For the most part they seemed on the small size though. My youngest son even caught a bunch on a dry fly Sunday evening. Most all others were caught stripping. I will be heading back down Wed with my oldest son to re-join the wife and other 2 sons. #2 son caught a brown today in zone 2 Looked about 15"' but haven't talked to him to confirm size. They said fishin today was just fair. How u doin bnb? Got your mobility back yet? How long you there for?

The original article mentioned here from 2007 said if convicted he could get 2 to 7 years. Anyone find what the final outcome was? Did he get convicted? A lot of these articles state how much time they could do but very seldom do they get that. Maybe if they did get the time it would supress some of these situations.

to BSSP this weekend. I gotta come back to work Monday through Wed. while wife and boys stay and fish. NOT FAIR!! Then I'll head back down for Thursday thru Sunday. Whats the water conditions like down there with the rain they been gettin? Anybody been there in the last week. Fishin good? Goin nuts here with anticipation!!
