  1. I thought everything from Japan glowed in the dark since 1945.
  2. Ever hear of a level or a square? Putting up a flag on a house should be pretty easy.
  3. Didja get it on right?
  4. So what am I doing wrong????
  5. Do you think I'm the kind of person who really gives a crap?
  6. Really? You sure it isn't the lame butt casts you made that put those lures in the trees? If that UglyStick was all that smooth of a rod, I think that those lures would have landed where you wanted them to. Unless of course you were casting for the copperheads in the trees.
  7. You're getting warmer...
  8. If the float is postponed due to bad weather, I will have to drop out since I will be busy on May 15th. So pray for good weather on the 17th of April if you want me to show up and bad weather if you don't. And I can hear your prayers so I'll know which one of you don't want me to show up.
  9. Only a double taper or level line can be put on a reel either way. All WFF lines have a taper. Sometimes you can actually feel the taper as you run it through your fingers. If not, a micrometer will help you determine where the taper is. It usually starts about ten feet or so back from the end of the line. Usually, every spool of line is put on the spool with the backing end at the top of the spool and the leader end buried down underneath where you can't get at it. What line did you buy? I'm surprised that there is no tag to show the backing end.
  10. It's you or your OnStar not working. The link is ok.
  11. Just make sure you tie your hook to the tippet and not just pinch it between the foam indicator and the learder.
  12. You could also try those chemical things that go in your boots between your socks and boots. They're like the hand warmers but made for boots.
  13. Can I tell them I don't want a GM and get a Toyota instead? I have been told on this forum that the Japanese make better cars.
  14. Hmmmm... Isn't that the whole idea behind the "hopper & dropper"?
  15. So go ahead and keep buying all the crap made in China (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, Malaysia...) and put everyone out of work in this country. And then keep crying about how you have to keep paying taxes so the guy who can't find a job can get a check every month. Maybe, just maybe, if everyone in this country that thinks like you would get the junk out from between their ears, we can put America back to work. America. Love it or LEAVE IT!!!!
  16. Why would I be jealous? I'll be on my new yak.
  17. Let's show some Patriotism.
  18. I would put a LOT of floatant on that indicator made with the midge flash. I just can't see that stuff floating too well.
  19. Again, you get what you pay for. A better line will cast a lot better than a cheap line. I've used the Cortland lines from Walmart. I think I paid about $20 for them. They're not bad, but when I got the money, I replaced them with RIO, about $65.
  20. Why didn't you call me?
  21. Anybody been in touch with KCRivrerat lately? haven't hearde form him in a while. Be nice to see him there too.
  22. There you go TC. I had thought about selling mine cuz I mostly use the yak now, but I decided to hang on to it. I was going to put mine up for about the same price. For floating rivers, you won't have any problems with one of these. Just like fishing from a one man drift boat. They weigh about 50 lbs. The toons are made of ripstop nylon covering the bladders and are very durable. I wouldn't hesitate to snap that up.
  23. Yes, you do get what you pay for. My old yak I paid about $170 for it and it floated. Wasn't much good for anything else. As for yaks having problems with deformation of the hulls, that will happen to any yak that is sitting on top of your car in the sun and it's strapped down too tight. When plastic gets hot, it starts melting. Nothing you can do about that other than keep it out of the sun and store it properly.
  24. I got mine at least 10 years ago. They don't make the ODC 816 anymore. It's a great 'toon for floating or rowing across a small lake, but for rowing upstream, forget it. Get a yak.
