  1. Thanks. When I posted that pic, I just converted from RAW to JPEG and cropped it so I could post it. I adjusted the camera settings in a RAW photo software yesterday, and now it looks even better. If I am set up on a tripod, I turn the I/S off. Sometimes the image stabilizer may introduce vibrations while it is looking for what is not there. Otherwise, I leave it on, even though it may not work hand holding a camera below a shutter speed below 1/100. that would all depend on how steady you think you can hold that camera and lens.
  2. I attached a couple of PDFs of the White River and it's access points. White River 1.PDF White River 2.PDF
  3. When I get my yak set up, I plan on putting my handheld GPS on it.
  4. Then soon you'll be hoping for fall as your cooling bill could use a break.
  5. ??? Bears or Boars ????
  6. That'a like people going camping in their RV making sure they bring the 52" big screen along so they don't miss any of their favorite tv shows.
  7. Better than Bill's Bloopers.
  8. If ya can get to it. Be kinda hard with a broken leg to get up some of the ridges around here.
  9. When my wife was still alive and I'd be out wading, she'd sit in the truck and do her cross stiching. I carried a walkie-talkie with me and left her one, both set to the same channel, so we could communicate.
  10. Yeah, I figured you for a vegan.
  11. Well what did you expect living up there in YANKEE land? That's one reason why I moved away from Wisconsin.
  12. If I'm just our wading near the access, I turn my phone off and leave it in the van. If I'm floating, I'll take it along but I don't know why. Most places I float, I do not get any decent reception due to the high bluff banks and being out in the middle of nowhere.
  13. Starting to feel like your kids name is Jake on "Two And A Half Men"?
  14. Why waste time trying to shovel. Gonna be 49° on Saturday and 58° on Sunday.
  15. Premade tapered leaders from 16lb to 6x depending what I'm fishing for.
  16. Naw. Them's just rednecks.
  17. Ya ain't a real hillbilly if'n yer belongin's look bran' new.
  18. Supposed to get a couple more inches of the white stuff tonight. Then it's gonna get into the 50° range by Sunday.
  19. Was this a force out by eminent domain?
  20. Naw. I ain't that good lookin'.
  21. Yes. Any picture taken with an exposure longer than 1/125 of a second should have a tripod. My camera has image stabilizatoin but I do not rely on it unless I'm just screwing around and don't care if the picture is blurred just a tad. In reality, if I really wanted to keep any camera movement blur out of this picture, I would have used a remote shutter release to keep any movement out of the image from pressing the shutter release. I also should have locked up the mirror because the action of the mirror movement will also shake the camera a little. I am planning on going back there this summer when there is some greenery to give me a better background. Hopefully it won't be raining like it was yesterday and I won't be in such a hurry to take the next pics there.
  22. Size 16???? Did he check with the circus?
  23. No. Really. I don't want to hear about it.
  24. Pretty cool. It looks as if your kids can fly fish better than me. Do they give us old timers lessons?
