Thanks to Mr. Bob Bennett's expertise of the lake I was able to find this nice 4 pounder on Thursday. We caught 4-5 keepers and 6 other shorts. I would strongly recommend the Stockton Lake Guide Service for those like me that have just started fishing Stockton or those just looking for a good day of fishing.

Heading to Tulsa this week and want to stop off the highway and do some fishing. Does anyone have a recommendation for any public use/recreation areas on Grand Lake or Oologah Lake??

Has anyone had any early morning topwater success lately? Caught three 14s this morning around Cedar Ridge, but was thinking about hitting Son's Creek tomorrow. Any other suggestions on where to go or what to use?

Makes you feel any better I just saw a Silver Dodge hauling one of those swamp boats on the side of the road fixing a flat. Karma. Gotta Love It!!

Duck - Where did you put in at? We fished around the Cape Fair area with minimal amount of top water success.

What type of topwaters were you using?? We didn't have much luck this morning.

Boat is out of commission......again. Has anyone had any luck around the public use areas or any of the bridges?. Tried CC on Wednesday without much luck. Did get a couple of keeper bass around the 195 bridge earlier this week, but were back to back with the rest of the 5 hours of fishing pretty slow. Any help would be much appreicated.

Has anyone been fishing around the Yocum Creek area or around the MO/ARK border? We are heading down there this weekend and curious what their biting on or if anyone has any honey holes that would be great.

Great recommendations Beagle Man. Caught some pretty good smallmouths off CC earlier this week and then got into some crappie today just east of Ruark Bluff. We also caught a couple of channel cats yesterday over by high point. Thanks again for the recommendations.

Yeap. We picked up some more this morning and they had about 30 containers left. The containers have 18-24 leeches in them with various sizes. -

You can also get them at the Wal-Mart (Kearney Street) in Springfield. -
We hit High Point today. Caught 2 nice cats off the banks around 2pm on leeches. One looked prego, but not 100% sure as we released. The other appeared to have bruises from spawning.

They were biting like crazy on Memorial weekend down in the Lower Bull Shoals. If you frey up an old yellow nylon rope and tie it to your line their teeth will get caught in the rope. We also got a lot of bites off minnows around Point 35 near the MO/AR border.
