  1. I am with you on that, I have downloaded the manuel now and looks like removing the bowl, cleaning jet, replacing gasket is all that there is too it, as long as you don't bother the idle air screw should be fine. Around $7 per carb for gaskets. Anybody had problems doing this?
  2. No offense, but when the fish are inative enough that they will only bite $25 lures I need to be doing something else. I have recently kicked the $15 Lucky craft pointer habit. With the price of gas going up, there will be a lot less of the lake I will see this year also.
  3. I can't get off the trailer to run anything through it, runs fine off the ears in the yard but as soon as put it in the water and put a load on it,it stalls out. Bottom two carbs are differently not pushing gas and that means not pushing oil so I am not running it until I am sure something is getting threw. I will run Seafoam in the future.
  4. I have 2 of four carbs on my 2004 Merc starving the engine, I have sprayed a can of carb cleaner through them and they are still starving. Fuel is getting to them but not through to the engine. I know this because when I spray in the carb cleaner the bottom two carbs love it and rpms go up when I spray in the top two carbs it floods out and I have to increase rpms to keep the engine from dying just like the instrustions say. Now for the question; After looking on iboats the only carb rebuilding kit I can find only has gaskets and seals, there is no float or needles listed for a 2004 4cyl 115hp Merc only the older 6cyl 115s. Does that mean the flots and needles are not replaceable? I notice after shutting the engine off, fuel spills out of the carbs and that says float replacement to me. If anyone has rebuilt a carb on this model motor please help since I really need to get going on this project.I wish going to mechanic was possible but current employment situation will not allow that.
  5. They are still on the fish, can't believe there were anglers culling at 930 am. I guess that river bite held up. Wish we didn't have to wait until July or August to watch the coverage on TV. I would love to know where and how they are getting those 6 pounders to bite. By the time they air the footage, no one will care about the cold water pattern.
  6. Well top 20 are in and looked like the square bill crank bait was ruling of those who were talking. I heard very little about the jerk bait, mostly from anglers with small bags. All the reports had the largest amount of boats in the river, with tonights storms and cold fronts I am predicting that river bite will not be there tomorrow.
  7. I guess Ish came to sell fish finders, not one keeper. My wife could drag a jig behind the boat and get one. Why did I have to put him in my top 5.
  8. Just filled out the Fantansy fishing for Beaver Lake on Advanced Angler.com and noticed that Ish was fishing this one. Had to add him to my team. I also put Greg in there, couldn't forget the home town hero.
  9. One Table Rock has more, better fish. Two Table Rock is 200ft less elevation than Beaver, therfore is warmer, three Table Rock has more moving water so a lot of reports from the Rock I have seen water temps in the 50s which get the shad moving again instead of those cicling dieing balls and littered up bottoms like we have at Beaver right now. I really think the key is too look for fish away from any shad up under laydowns and on drop offs were there aren't any shad for a mile since the fish close to the shad are feed up so well. I have tried draging live shad around the shad balls without even a bite, so I am very doubtful they will chase anything unless you find some hungry fish and with 150 boats I am sure someone will find those hungry ones, I sure don't know where they are.
  10. Got one in Rogers already, nice place for H2O lures but that's about all I get there. Lots of space and clothing but the plastics and other lures just are not targeted to the area.
  11. Looks like a good cold front hitting the 1st of March, I saw on 40/29 news there is a good chance of snow and this week has a lot of below freezing nights that is not going to slow down the shad kill or bring up any pre spawners. There has been some big bags brought up on Table Rock under these conditions, but Beaver sure isn't Table Rock, I sure will be watching what is tied on the rods when these guys get to weigh in.
  12. I am putting the boat in the water since I can't remeber when tommorow morning and just wondering if anyone has caught anything on Beaver lately.
  13. Stopped by Monte Ne today and the launch looked good no snow in sight, but I saw about 30 gulls sitting on ice in the middle of the bay going toward the lake, the ice was covered with water so I would not have known it was ice if the birds had not been walking on it. Looks like it could still be a little dangerous, but should be gone in a few days.
  14. 20 inches of snow and a 6inch rise in water level, maybe with the melt off we can get an entire foot. Then we will only need about 10 feet of snow to get back to 1120.
  15. Last spring we were up to 1130 and today it is 1109 so that is a drop of 21ft, so a drop of 15ft is not out of a possibilty.
  16. The old saying is March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, judging by this year that would be a foot of snow and half a foot of ice.
  17. Size?
  18. Looks like it would have to be 1093 to get down to the spring and most of the amp out of the water. amp & lake levels
  19. This is the link I use.http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Reports/Data/Tabrock.htm
  20. I am glad to here that about Hummingbirds, I have an Eagle and there is just a basic outline of the lake without a chip and very few lakes on thier free downloads, Beaver is there but Table Rock is not.
  21. Just my two cents stay away from Eagle products even though seem to have a lot of options for less money, they just aren't up to speed and don't work half the time. I have an Eagle Fishe elite and don't like the GPS or sonar. Also the color gps is diffently worth the money, the color fish finder is nice on the front but due to cost if you have to make a choice due to price, put the color unit on the console were you can color code the water depth on the Navionics chip while running in low light conditions, night, rain, fog whatever. Also make sure that you save the money for a Navionics card, the maps that are pre loaded are not worth having, you will NEED the $100 card.
  22. I have an electric heat pump with a gas back up furnance for heaitng and it has always been that I fear the electric bill in the summer and gas in the winter. But they are generating more elecrticty in the winter than they did in the summer? I guess there are a lot more people on electric only than I realized. I am wondering how much of this is due to mininum flow for the trout waters out of Table Rock and Bull Shoals.
  23. On the bed fishing I usually find the little males that arn't legal fish guarding eggs, the big female is there for less than a day, and that day might be a tounament day probally not. I know a lot of Northern States have regs against lifting a fish from the bed, but the "protection" the male provides vs the amount of the hatch he will eat himself after the hatch is also a big question. As for mayself I have never found five beds in a day with 2 fish each on the bed and if I ever did I would probally catch all five little males and have to put them right back anyway. The best part of fishing an area with beds for me is when they are feeding on thier own fry and you can get them on shallow runing cranks, then arn't you helping the little guys out by taking the big fish for a boat ride?
  24. Genration is going wide open today, water is dropping fast, I hope this melt off is going to add some water at this rate of generation 1108 is very likely. Be very careful in front of RT12 Bridge that was only 3ft in places going toward the bridge, will have to take the long way around to Praire Creek soon.
  25. I've seen a lot of 6-8lb bass this winter from people pulling cranks for stripers so I would not count a deep big crank bait if they find some big fish suspended on points. I can never fish that pattern, but it did pay off on the cold Table Rock FLW last year.
