thanx for the advice fellas, and OnTheFly I'm not a great fisherman but i do like to fish and i'm not the worst and my fishing stuff goes with me allways. i just got back from bass pro and bought me some sink tip line for my wet flys some grashopper dry fly(i figured out my flys wasntheavey enough for the float line i got) and some leaders 5x and some 5x frog hair tippit this should help me alot i think(i had no tapered leaders, 4 lbsivisaline dous work) thnx a load.

Being new I am still confused on all the "ins and outs" of fly fish. While looking through different pages for info on the difference between leeders and tippets( yes i had no clue, I know no one personaly to teach me ) I found this quote and it hit me as how I have been trying to explain to my soon to be wife what the river and my pole holds for me. This is it; Jerry Dennis wrote in his book The River Home. "If I had had the wit and the woman had been inclined to listen, I would have told her that fishing makes us alert, pulls us out of our thoughts, and engages us in something bigger than ourselves. It's a restorative that cleanses us when we've become muddied and makes us healthy when we've become sickened. It's a brace against pessimism.

Hey how are ya i'm new to fly fishing and i'm haveing trouble finding any good spots with enough room to work my line. I live in ava and i been down white river a few times wheres a good spot i can walk to? And may be set up a tent with out paying someone.

I acually know people that hit cars double parked like that the newer the more they like it. now thats one way of giveing someone the hint. And as far as someone backing/pulling into me.. i'm 6 ft 230 lbs and i'll jump through someone window if they don't give me my room when i'm walking. I try to watch every body around me and i just exspect the same.

i don't mind casinoes really i've won and lost money in vixburg, miss but maybe they should start with a large bingo hall and see where that goes kinda wading in instead of going head first. My fiances hole family plays bingo and lives in branson, they travel up to 90 miles to play sometimes.

Hey hows it going i'm new to fly fiching. I'm trying real hard to find all the "good spots" but i'm disabled and do not have alot or cash for travel. I'm 26(or will be in sept) I like to try to practice good fishing ethics but as all i have my own opionion to whats right. But most of all I like the fight.

I'm new to fly fishing but find i have a natural talent for it any advice will help for sure. Pluss i live in Ava,MO and i have to be up there tomarrow to take my fieances little brother home(lost tree appt.) and will be very close to there and would like to stop in and check out the action could some one give me directions off 76 highway?
