  2. Looking for a store that carries "ON THE SHELF" 100% Full synthetic 2 stroke injection oil. Most places carry the synthetic blend or can order the full synthetic. Want some now.. Thanks for the help. Bill

  9. New to the area, Looking for a place to shoot handguns near Holiday Island. Thanks for any location suggestions.
  10. Just seen this topic.. I was out that day there were about 9 Kayaks around the Beaver bridge. I thought it was pretty cool. I sat & watched them for a while and decided I would leave & fish elsewhere. Spoke to a couple of guys & they were just fine, but ONE guy turned sideways in my path under the bridge & refused to move when I wanted to leave the area & pass under the bridge. I chock it up to him having a bad day. I am flexible and am learning to let things slide. However, I can see someone else hammering the throttle & teaching that guy some manners... Every situation is different, ever changing variables, boats, kayaks, people, moods... it is a big lake. Is it really worth it- from either point of view ? Picking ones battles.
  11. Yup, the Ned is pretty versatile ... Will try.. Thanks
  12. Hypothetically speaking.. IF you were on Table Rock Lake in the fall & wanted to catch Walleye with an artificial bait, what would you use ?
  13. Same thing around Holiday Island closer twds the state line. Not big fish, but sure a lot of fun. Seen them ambushing huge dark schools of bait fish.
  14. Our middle boy caught this one for his GF's dinner. We also had released 3 shorter ones.
  15. Typical scenic lookout pic.

  21. I had the similar thing. In my Lund, the cable was always in the way- so I got rid of the foot control trolling motor & bought a 24Volt MinKota Maxum Bow Mount HAND CONTROL. Retailed about $750 bucks (still have the receipt), but well worth it in my opinion. It was easy to fish with it's telescoping handle, easy to move with your knee if sitting or standing. The 24V last all day ! When I sold the Lund the new owner wanted a foot control, so I bought it back from him & put it on my new boat. As you can see from the photos, there isn't much room on that deck ( that is why I removed the cable mount motor. Even when the motor is up in the easy side off mount, it is not in our way. Deployed, it is perfect for OUR application & the 24V scoots us around just fine. I know most foot control motors are cheaper (don't know why), but if space is a premium & trip hazards are an issue- take a look at a big bow mount. Good luck !
  22. Other than the Jerkbait replies, I am still on track with the burning of the crank & spinner baits. The jerkbaits I am new to. Seems mostly cooler temp driven, stop & go. Thanks for the replies.. Except for the fire pit methods, despite what others think, burnt crank baits do not taste like chicken !
  23. On Table Rock, is NOW the time to start burning spinner baits & shallow crank baits ? When do we get into the suspended stickbait season, when water gets cooler ? Just trying to find the errors of my ways. Bill
  24. Rattles on jigs ? I USE to swear by them. but that was when I finally had mastered fishing dirty Nebraska lakes. Weeds grass & dirty water ! BUT now on Table Rock, my jig days are gone. I have to relearn all over again. My Nebraska tricks do not work here. I really should hang with some local jig fisherman & see how its down on Table Rock. Maybe this fall... (I use to also use Rattles and big trailers & scents)
  25. Decided to sell our 2000 Lund Fisherman 18' 6" Adventure 1800. Great boat, but we just need a family deck boat more. Kids & grandkids... Like Spock said, the needs of the many- out weight the needs of "grandpa"... or something like that. Listed it on this forum for starters & see how it goes. It would bring more $ in the spring, its just time for it to go & us to move on.

Paid over $700 when I bought the Minn Kota hand control. I know pro's and wannabes (and others) like the foot control. Personally  I hate it. I sit down to fish most of the time & can steer with a bump of the knee and I don't have the cable in the way or the huge recessed pedal in the the floor.. This 48V runs all day easy. Going to let it go with the Lund as I dont want to trailer the new boat & leave it at a shop for a few days until they would rewire my 48V config on the new boat. The new deckboat as 2 batteries, but they are wired with a oem switch to run a 12V motor(foot feed-hate it) between the 2 batteries, You switch between battery 1 & battery 2, Ill get another hand control 48v over the winter.
