  3. Okm, I ended up with the original optimax oil. Lesson learned. Do NOT buy it from a marina.... darn $$$$$
  4. There is the Premium Optimax oil, There is a synthetic blend Optimax oil, Is there a 100 % synthetic Optimax oil ? Thanks for your input, Bill
  5. This link keeps me busy for hours when its slow at work ! Thanks again !
  6. Nice report- sounds like fun. Just spotted Big Bay on a structure map. I see why you were there- not sure if my boat can make it that far... LOL.. Thanks for the report.
  7. Ok thanks for the idea... Will give that a shot next time I go to the lake house.
  8. No idea, but if it aint broke, dont fix it ! Good luck, have fun & keep the lights on !
  9. I received an older 24V MinnKota foot control trolling motor from a friend (was his fathers). It has a 24v plug. How can I test this to see if (1) it works, & (2) to see if it is wired compatable with my 24V outlet. Thanks for the suggestions. Bill
  10. It is really hard NOT to get bit on a watermelon SENKO (plain hook no weight) under boat docks or other cover. Good luck hope they have fun.

  15. Ok, NOW I have to ask.. When would you throw a BLACK spinerbait on table rock ? I use to have some "black short arm" spinerbaits that were awesome.. except midwest Northern pikes loved them.. Never found another short arm model.. Still have a few of the standad black Midnight specials I'd like to throw...
  16. Hard to cast until that shoulder heals. Hope you are able to get back out soon. Thanks... I NOTICED THE SHOULDER PROBLEM when setting the hook.. as little as THAT happens.. LOL !
  17. Yes, thats what I call cheap !!! Looking at LOWES site, is this it ? do you have to drain it or self prime & self draining ? (asking for the moon aint I )...
  18. "registered letter & E-MAIL advising us that we could no longer use a submersible type pump in any manner @ our boat-dock" Yup, thats the letter we got. "120 volt self-priming pump up on the boat-dock walk-way underneath the fish cleaning table" Sounds like just what we need ! I have yet to find a "self priming" pump "cheap".. Do you remember any specifics on your pump ? Expecially price ? Thanks for sharing.. Bill
  19. Thanks for the replies. The priming issue along with the freezing issue makes the choice difficult. As you know there is always one in every copmmunity dock that cant get along & do things right.. Thats kind of why I am looking at a manual pump type. EZ...Permanent instalation. I have noticed that the more lift ya need the more they cost. bfishen, I like the idea of the pitcher pump. I will have to go check one out & see if it would be hold up to freezing. If it would be fine. Looks easy enough to mount on the cleaning table with a pipe straight down to the water (with a screen).. great suggestion.
  20. I received my order in January. All looks good, but I have been unable to fish yet (rotor cuff surgery)... Great looking baits though !
  21. A year or two ago, the corp made us remove our electric water pump from the lake. We had one that was hanging in the water. A ltttle switch & we had water on our fish cleaning station. Apparently there was a "shock hazzard". We have not replaced it with something safer yet. Now it is MY new task of finding some kind of water pump (cheaply) for our fish cleaning station on the dock. What are some of yor other dock people using for a water pump on your cleaning stations ? Pictures are always welcome Wonder of one of these hand bilge pumps would work. One hose in the water & the other on the cleaning station. Thanks, Bill
  22. thanks !
  23. I got this link from Navionics. It lets you look around but that's it. Keeps me off ebay so- perfect ! http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp
  24. "It doesn't look like this horse is getting up, but I'll whack it one more time just in case..." LOL !
  25. Long ago, I picked up a weather tip from a guy on tv that I pretty much stuck with. Bite picks up as pressure drops. When it the barometer stops & stays low, the Bass will nose up to the biggest wood or structure they can find. Fish up against the biggest wood or structure & the reaction strikes will be somewhat plentiful. Shortly there after- the weather will get bad, so don't stray too far from your own protective cover. This has worked for me, I cant remember much more than a couple of things at a time..anymore.... So with high pressure & blue skies, you will see me just cruisen the lake looken around...
