  1. Then when should I carry my gun? Do you know the exact time and date when my life will come under threat? If so please tell me...then I can just carry my gun on that specific day...dam thing is kinda uncomfortable anyways.
  2. Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, I have a little gem of a creek I go to when the summer is hot and the water is low where I fly fish for carp and drums. They fight like crazy and average around 3lbs...lots of fun.
  3. Ya...only thing working was a dry, had to be wisper quiet. Think that one was caught on an Adams. I love the color's on those little wild trout.
  4. Water is gin clear and very low. Fish are hungry and biting on just about anything. Gotta move slow to even get a chance with the water being so low and clear. Caught about 5-6 about the same size as the one in the photo. Of course caught plenty of fingerlings. All in all it was a wonderful day to be out on the water.
  5. Didn't feel a thing.
  6. Ya Mic...I would say you should always fish Mill Creek....Blue Springs isn't produceing anymore..Laugh! Nice double.
  7. Good stuff Mic...what section did you fish?
  8. Mic..Just went there today and its perfect! If you are ever going to fish BSC...now would be a good time. I caught several swinging a black wollybugger.
  9. I am hopeing it stays as deep as it is or gets deeper.
  10. Just an FYI for anyone heading to BSC soon. I snuck down for a couple of hours Wednesday evening. I was fishing a nice hole and watching some beavers working the next hole up when I noticed something by my feet. At first glance I thought a bunch of fry were swiming by...but on closer inspection...I notice they where all scuds. I mean thousands of them.....so if your heading down pack tie up plenty of olive scuds 16/18 and you should be good to go.
  11. Mic, Did you catch anything....I have a feeling you didn't. If you're chaseing trout, the Meramec is a humbling river to say the least. What part of the river did you hit?
  12. real kewl
  13. Perfection!
  14. Quite right! Plus..and you know this Mic...its not like those big ones jump on the hook out there. When I am trying to catch the big ones on BSC..I usally only get one pass before they are done with me and thats only if I did a good job sneeking in on them. When I finally get one of those BSC 20+ inchers to the hand...I am going to CROW from the rooftops on this forum. I can tell you a 15-20 incher from BSC is a true trophy fish of a lifetime.
  15. Ahh...to hell with them Mic! I am just happy there is a guy on here that loves BSC as much as I do...fyi..I am much more free in the summertime. Its been tough getting out with the new baby and all. Anyways...where were you stationed in Korea? I was there at Camp Howze from 98'-99'. Hope to see you on the water soon...we can swap some stories.
  16. Same hole where that fish broke me off as well......
  17. Great repot Mic! Those little white flies get pretty thick down there. I end up cleaning about 50 off my rod after day on the BSC. Did you get a look at the one that broke your line? I had one snap me off that would have went 18" easy...by far the biggest fish I was able to get to take a fly...seen some bigger ones though.
  18. Sweeeeeeeet!
  19. If I've got your location correct....if you would have went a little further you would have ran into a great pool with some big fish. Its the largest pool I have seen in BS. past that is a nice little waterfall right under a low canopy...challegeing but I've pulled 10-15 fish from that spot in a sitting. I've walked up from the waterfall quite a ways...never been to the spring itself...would love to see it but I think its on private land. Glad you guys had some fun.
  20. I'm not sure what your calling the double L hole??? The fish closer to te spring itself are going to be more active this time of year due to te water temprature being warmer.
  21. ok... whats the secret to finding those big ones? Do you high bank untill you see one, then just target that specific fish?
  22. Went down today and was amazed at the diffrence between durring season and out of season. The fishing was great, caught about 15 in about 3 hours. One of them was 21"....wow! I was one of 4 on the water today.
  23. I bought the rod...can't wait to get it on the water.
