  3. Now you have gone and done it Chief...I will have that silly song in my head all day.....
  4. I like the Rio fluorocarbons. I tend to use 6x or 7x at Taney depending on the clarity of the water. I am not familiar with Stroft. Dano
  5. This thread is starting to get old and its starting to waste valuable bandwidth.
  6. Yeah, keeping a keen eye on it...I'm just tired of editing words related to bodily functions from the post.
  7. I have to agree. The Cimarron is great and you can still find them used. Dano
  8. The Trout Underground blog had this.... http://troutunderground.com/2010/11/14/documentary-examines-snake-river-dams/
  9. Fellows. I need everyone to be a bit more considerate of the language being used in this thread. I have had to do some editing in others of late. If you think some of the words used in any of your posts are questionable please edit them. Thanks Dano
  10. Sorry we missed you Okie. I wished I could have found some of those 1lb "footballs" Dano

  12. Since I have no financial interest I can't call this a shameless plug, but I had an opportunity today to get my paws on some of the Hendrix Outdoors fly rods Terry B brought to RR. He has a tip flex starter model that is packaged as a combo. Its a boxed set with a 9ft, 5 wt, rod, reel and line. The cosmetics were good and rivaled more expensive outfits. Terry was casting fine loops in the parking lot with this setup and like most starter sets the rod seemed slow enough to be forgiving but yet provided great line control and distance. I know that Tim has them at his shop at RR. Terry also fished a higher end Hendrix rod matched with a machined reel that I was extremely impressed with. Dano
  13. So great to see old faces and new today at the annual opener. Thanks to Chef's Steve and Bob for the delicious camp stove biscuits and gravy and the hot dog lunch. The fish even cooperated today. I didn't see many large fish, but did see plenty of fish caught. A little rain actually seemed to turn the fish on and the catching slowed for me after lunch. I really look forward to this each year, seeing friends and general camaraderie a chance to get away. Terry B and I think he said it was a "20 inch" bow....hahaha
  14. Congratulations on another trip around the sun there Chief..... Dano
  15. Yes sir!
  16. ...but it ain't about the catchin' right? The fact you were doing something you enjoyed and with your dad to boot outweighs it all in my book. Dano
  17. You are frying chips right?
