  1. Thanks Phil and KFF...It just has been in the back of my mind that there is an abundance of talent in the area and on this board, people who are conservation minded, those great with planning outings and club gatherings, experienced casters, those that tie dynamic patterns and just people who are generally friendly, social. A club with these components would thrive because of these reasons. I do know that clubs can make a big difference on how a fishery can survive and how clubs can be a strong lobby for its rivers. I don't know the first thing about starting one of these clubs our associating with FFF, but I do know I am willing to work with others to get something in the works or at least sit down and discuss the feasibility of it. 2. What is the status of the group? I was just wondering if its worthwhile to drive up from Harrison to attend. Also is there any interest in forming an FFF affiliated flyfishing club in the North Ark / Southern Mo region. It seems a shame to not have a powerful club in the region. Anyone want to start discussing this? Dano
  3. 3 Hornberg? 4 Crease Fly? Only ones I can even guess at. Dano

  9. Phil I found the answer...its in My Control. Go to the email part and there is another box to click to receive the notifications of a reply. Dano
  10. Phil It seems even though I mark the thread that I have replied to. I don't get email notification of a new reply. Any tips? I do mark the box for email notification. Dano
  11. Why do most only use furled leaders for dry fly fishing? I have had most sucess with them nymphing and even using streamers? Dano
  12. Saw them in Little Rock in 1994...one of the best shows I have been to. Dano
  13. Bill are you dropping the nymphs from the hook of the stimulators and other drys? Dano
  14. Personally I like the mono furled leaders over thread leaders. I like the suppelness of the mono. (no memory) The thread styles seems to soak lots of water after a few casts and tend to sink quicker. I have used them for several years now and its really all I ever use. Dano
  15. Sounds like your may have sore arm there Steve.....the kind you like to get. Dano
  16. I might have this figured out....if not, then I gotta be close..... Dano

  18. Hi Fellow Fishers...My name is Dan Sears and I am in Harrison Ark. I fish Taney and RR primarily, but make it over to the White and Norfork some. I also LOVE fishing for smallies on the Buffalo, Kings and Crooked Creek. I am also a paddling geezer. And here's hoping Phil can get that Buffalo trip lined up one of these days. I think these forums have done more to help the sport of fishing and especially fly fishing than any other medium. I have never met anyone on these boards that I wouldn't share a stream with. Its been a pleasure to meet some of the very folks here, traded flys and fish stories. JoRob of this board is a neat guy and I count as one of my good friends, even though his son Ryan outfishes him I have also fished with Leonard and that is one fly tying dude. I am a Juvenile Court supervisor and former EMT and also had many years experience in the media. I am a grandfather and can't wait for the day when the little tykes can fit into a pair of waders and wave the long rod. Here's hoping to meet you gents and gentle ladies on our rivers. God Bless. Rover and out~
  19. Me tool if possible Phil I am about 7 miles from Pruitt on the Buffalo but I haven't been on the river in a couple years too. We are going to have to have a VERY wet Winter and Spring though to be able to float the upper sections. Its the lowest in history right now. Dano
  20. I like to tie the Crackleback body using uni stretch floss...typically I tie them in Lt. Olive and Pumpkin color. Dano
