  1. Thanks for the great report as usual Mike.
  2. Bring some books...or at least one for me. I will have some clean, crisp, just printed American money for you. Dano
  3. Glad to have you. Dano
  4. I love mine and I have the medium size. It works great, and its not heavy. As to accuracy, I really don't care. I'd lie about the length anyway..... Dano
  5. Its on the calendar. I haven't missed one in a while. Dano
  6. Most, if not all of the land along the White outside of the public (AGFC) accesses are private, unless I am missing one. There may be some camping hiking opportunities near Sylamore but I really don't think there are. Dano
  7. Are you referring to Art Vandelay, architect and metallurgist?
  8. Charlie I have cast the Lil Streamer but not fished with one. They are specifically designed for "shooting line" on small streams. The theory is that the more guides on the rod and in this case typically double the amount of guides with at least two large stripping guides causes less friction between the line and rod thereby allowing you to shoot line with minimal effort. Bob Brunsell came up with his concept while fishing the small streams in Wisconsin. I have Bob's personal nymph shooter he built in a 9 ft configuration, It has 18 guides including the tip. And as Dave said there is no finer rod company to do business with as far as customer service is concerned. I give Dorber an A-plus. Dano
  9. Now that took some cahonjes!!!
  10. I knew Ronnie would bite on that.... It gets no better than smallies on the fly. And Eric some of the same techniques used for catching trout on the fly apply. Dano
  11. Eric, your welcome too. You will be casting some line in less than 30 minutes. Promise. Dano
  12. I love the C and R opener at Roaring River and especially Steve's hot dogs..... Dano
  13. Welcome CS First thing to remember is that Fly Fishing is not as mysterious as you would think. Anytime you are headed down to Taneycomo give me a shout and I would be happy to meet up with you and see if I can add to what you already know. Dano
  14. Thom From what I understand that if you had a 5 on the flex index it would be a true mid flex. So a 7.5 would be a little faster rod than say the 5 flex on the index scale. Anything lower that 5 would be even slower than the 5 flex. Hope this makes a bit of sense....Dano
  15. Thanks for posting Jeremy. My grandson simply loves Dry Run. Dano

  18. Adam... Girlfriends and wives tend to out fish and out shoot you. Fair warning... Dano
  19. I am going soon. In all my years around here I have never fished Crane. Hopefully one of you Cranites will be around to show me my way.... Dano
  20. The falls and Mill Creek 10/15/2009
  21. Have a happy one Don.
  22. Now that's a bargain. Somebody better jump on this. Dano
  23. Maybe we can get Maddog to chime in here.... Welcome Dano
  24. Welcome back Bill. Can't wait to hook up one of these days and renew old times and wet some line. Also Bill is a wealth of knowledge on fishing the salt and the bays of West Florida. I bet if you ask he will give you all the tips you need if you are traveling that way. He is also a cane aficionado. Dano
