  2. I live in northern Indiana and have never winterized my boat-we will fish till ice on and be the first out when ice out. But we do make sure we drain everything before we leave the ramp. Sometimes were pushing ice to get out-lol. Take care of your equipment and drain it right and you will be OK. Tom

I got a brother in Donipan(Poplar Bluff) area and he says it aint rained in forever and was hot as sin. Going on another trip here in Indiana and just found out the lake is 9ft below pool. I seen great walleye come from this lake in june, so we will see what happens. Thanks Tom

  12. I was on vac. this week and momma wasn't so i got to do a little fishing with my walleye-Perchin buddys. We fished for perch but it was tough but always good days when you can get on the big lakes in smaller boats. We prefished thursday out of New Buffalo, Mich. - with Les as my partner and Rick and Berry in the other boat and it was some tough fishing- but a good breakfast and always a good time with these characters-lol Thanks for the invite. We went out of Portage, IN. yesterday, did catch fish-well over 50 apiece but dinks-came home with about 10 fish over 8in and 1 25 in Coho-or so I'm guessing-didnt measure it-but its my story so I can tell it the way I want-lol. Sons boat, always good fishing with the kids-and always a competision thing going on lol. Heres the Bro Scott-just had to steal my fish-lol The boy Jr as you call him, fished with Lee Court as his partner and thats always a good time. They switched up and were casting these which a friend of mine makes and sells-they gained the lead on us and ended with 20 perch-they tipped them with pieces of crawlers and that worked. Tom

Yea I changed my photo, figured it was to much-this is my Grandson with a Lake Mich Perch-there the best-uh along with walleye that is- well and some good cold water gills-well what the heck I like fish lol.Almost time for the anual summer fish fry. Can't wait. Tom
  14. As much as these have caused problems they have also helped to clean up the Great Lakes, they have cleaned up Lake Mich., as well as Erie, the Small mouth and walleye, yes walleye in Lake Mich. and Erie are doing great. Lake Mich is starting to show good numbers of walleye, hopefully it will continue to grow. Heres a little article I found. Tom Non-native mussels and mollusks have also caused turmoil in the food chain. In 1988, zebra mussels were inadvertently introduced to Lake St. Clair, and quickly spread throughout the Great Lakes and into many inland lakes, rivers, and canals. Since then, they have caused severe problems at power plants and municipal water supplies, clogging intake screens, pipes, and cooling systems. They have also nearly eliminated the native clam population in the ecosystem.
  15. Them Erie trips will spoil your walleye fishing-lol. Nice fish, nice pics. Thanks for sharing. Tom
  16. Well I dont get out as much as I use to with work, but I'm out when I can and enjoy it. Erie trip is always great and with good fish. Local lakes have been slow-very hot here as well as down there-high 90's does cause effects in the fishing. We fish the big lake(Mich) when it gets this hot and the waves let you-so fished it yesterday but was slow, only 4 keeper perch above 8 inches with 1-13 in caught. We got a small bragging rights perch tourney sat - weather permitting. Tom
  17. Hello T-RockJaws, have you had trouble stunning fish if water is to cold. Its been very hot here as well this year, guys are adding ice to livewells to try to keep walleye healthy and running aeriator pumps continuos. Tom
