  1. Myself and my Brothers have trolled for years and the fish always seem to want something new. First it was small lazy ikes and Rebel crawdads, then it was smal gold or silver Rebels or Rapalas. We would go deep with mini bombers with some good luck. Throw in the spoons, orange & gold cleos, gold and red diamond wobble lures, and black or brown small roostertails. Small is probably the key here so my next trip I'm thinking of trying Flicker shads. you will need to be able to troll slow with these small lures. Don't know if this helps but good luck.My favorite, gold 4" broked back Rapala.
  2. Hey Craze what size trout magnet do you use and what color head, chrome or gold ? Thanks in advance and thanks for the report.
  3. Inflated nightcrawler with a 1/2" piece of white powerbait trout worm.
  4. Fished Fri. & Sat. with no water running all day. Took a very long time to get some quality Bows for the smoker. Leaving Sun. morning wouldn't ya know they were running water.Once again had a great stay at Lilleys Landing the best on the lake. I even caught a 22" brown off the dock late in the evening.Water was low, half way up lookout water was so thin for the Lund we didn't go any further.
  5. Another great video Phil. I didn't catch the jig color. Did you say white 1/8th oz. ? As stated on a previous post , you should start your own fishing show. I'm sure with all the OAF's you could line up the sponsors. Nothing national just local. Don't want a bunch of Yankees and Westcoasters filling up the good areas with multitude of fishermen.
  6. Always looking for a great print for my man cave done up in fish & bears. Count me in for a framed one. Phil I'm thinking its time for you to start you own fishing show. You have to be better than some I see on cable now. Just a thought.
  7. I've jig fished many times on Taney and it never hurts to get this kind of information. Taking your time and do't get mad if you don't happen to catch a fish every drift. The fish will get interested as long as you keep the jig in the water and follow the great lesson Phil just presented you, you going to catch some quality fish. The one thing he forgot to mention was before getting on the lake stop by Lilley's Landing to find out colors, water flow, and a cold drink couldn't hurt either. Thanks Phil.
  8. Nice report Phil. Thanks for all the good info. You are right about some folks who just have to keep all they can get to the net. I fish and catch a lot of trout but only about twice a year I keep some of the large ones for "Smokin". If they wouldn't keep so many the next trip might be as fun as the successful one they just had. As always keep those reports coming, they sure do make lunch time at work more enjoyable. Especialy if the old trout licker Jackson is in them. Best of Luck. The Old Perchjerker...
  9. Lilleys is a one stop shop for all you need. Your crew can also fish off the docks when not in the boat.See Curtis and he has any info or as with all the staff will point you in the right direction for a great stay & family fishing. Good Luck to your whole tribe.
  10. One more thing, something is missing, where is that fish lickin Lab at?
  11. I know if the jig is bumping the bottom it is upstream from the float but if it isn't hitting the bottom is the jig downstream of the float? Are you wanting the jig bouncing off the bottom. Thanks Phil in advance, love watching your videos.
  12. We use to fish the run just above that gravel bar and yes it did come out half way. the water was deeper, no one had motors that tilted up unless you strong armed them. Caught trout on a red wiggler worm, didn't inflate them back then, with a 3/8 oz. split shot. Stayed at the Sammy Lane Resort, rented the boat at Fall Creek. What great times those were. your tackle box was in your coat pocket..
  13. Glad you choose to make this post today. I hope everyone realizes that we need to slow down even when fishing and enjoy the day. If you do, I think 5 fish will make you just as happy as 10 without beating yourself up for not being "on" the fish. Happy thoughts to all the Ozark Anglers, Hope to see you on the water soon.
  14. Always great to get in depth reports. I'm trying to get down this weekend. This will give me a good starting point. I also like that you include bank pictures so I don't guess where your trying. Thanks as always for the info.
  15. Good to see Leonard on the site again. Hope your getting out on the lake soon..
