  1. You're right about narrow riffles, kinda long in distance and a few too. Water looks nice, coming from that spring and that was what caught my eye, though I have found out a satellite view can fool you. Looks like it holds enough water year round. I suppose you better have a kayak/canoe if you wish to go any distance on it.
  2. Well sir, the day I do, you will see a report right here. Might be the biggest secret in Missouri, probably not though.
  3. Really? No one knows ANYTHING about this river that basically runs from West Plains thru Thayer and joins Mammoth Springs. Thought there would be some useful info out there. Apparently................they want to keep the riff raff out.
  4. Thanks for sharing with us BHF. Little harder to write up a nice post, when things don't go your way, but getting out is what it is all about. Fishing has been poor. Funny, we stopped at Missouri Hick on the way home too, and had a nice BBQ meal.
  5. Who doesn't love self-absorbed/self-serving people on a boat ramp. I always look forward to seeing them .
  6. Cool job fellas. The Big River is a good river for a lot of fun.
  7. Great shots Clay !!!!!!!
  8. As usual, great job and thanks.
  9. Cool. Thanks for sharing with us Red. I get to float her for the first time on 6-19, but starting lower than you did.
  10. Was wondering if anyone has some info on this water. Hard to find out much about it, from the Missouri side. Thanks.
  11. We rented canoes and just made it simple. Would have preferred to start at Slabtown, but, it was fun with the girlfriend anyway. Let us know how you do bikehikefish and good luck.
  12. Girlfriend and I floated Big Piney from Boiling Springs just down to Mason on 5-20. Water was really nice, but the little fishing I did was not so hot.
  13. Nice smally !!!!!
  14. Drew, have you thought of running for a Democratic position in your local state government? Think you could do well for them.
  15. Thanks for the article jgentle. THIS is unsettling for all of us. We as the stewards are responsible to make sure our lax officials know that we are on top of this. This is a protected river...........maybe not for a company that pays their way to get around it though. Sad part is a state or federal official will write you up for peeing or dumping a beer can. I would assume that this company has leached out something into the ground, only questions are what and how much.
  16. Stockton(?) Has the nicest sunsets you'll find around.
  17. Demon Rum. You know.......there is a lot of truth in that, period.
  18. Keep trying the EYES Steve, you'll get them. Patience is what I learned going after the toothy fellas. We have always had luck throwing cranks near and over rocky, bluffy areas on the north end of lake.
  19. Great job moguy. Nice looking smallie.
  20. God Bless
  21. Ditto
