But I have to say...I've been like a little kid on Christmas morning..runing out to the mail box each day in anticipation of its arrival. I cant wait. Also just found out this weekend that I may take a trip this summer to Canada with my friend and this reel will be placed on my 6wt St. Croix.... Thanks again Justin!!!

A couple weeks back, Justin continued a post promoting the new reels and he said that the first person to pm him would receive a free reel…..I was lucky to be the first one. I haven’t received the reel yet, but I realize its only been a few weeks. I am like a kid on Christmas morning every day running out to the mail box in anticipation of its delivery. They do look like nice reels and I hope I do get the chance to receive and use one…..I did need a new reel for my St.Croix.

Fished there yesterday, 4:15 to 5:00. Trying to teach my son how to fly fish. The only thing we could catch was the leaves floating on the water.

Never fished at Suson before. Do they stock trout in all the lakes at Suson? I cant rember how many lakes are there.

Congrats.....I have often thought of getting one myself. Question...after you put in and go down stream, how do you get back to your truck or car? What are some of the ways around having 2 autos, 1 at put in and 1 at take out.

Good morning all, last weekend my family and I went to Montauk. My son, 8yrs old, caught his first trout. Actually he caught 3 on Friday morning using my fly rod. This was his first time using a fly rod as well. To make a long story short, he now has the fly rod fever and wants one of his own. I guess Santa will have to bring one this year. I have been looking on line and came up with the TFO Bug Launcher in a 4/5 wt. Does anyone here have any experience with this rod? It seems to get good reviews. Or any other suggestions would be nice as well. Also not sure what would be a good reel to start with. I would like to have something nice but affordable. Thanks for reading my post. I havent bought a leader in years.....I tie my own using Berkley Vanish fluro. I start with 12lb test and work my way down to 4lb, using 2lb incermints, and maybe finish with 2lb if I feel its needed. I tie on 2 to 3 foot pieces at a time. Works great for me. I bought the big spools to spool other reals and started using the left over to tie leaders.

Sounds like a great time to me. How far down from Montauk is this? Im going to Montauk in a couple weeks. Maybe Ill head out of the park and fish a little. Is it wadeable?
