I floated from Whitten to Riverton and did not see any take out access between, but maybe some one with more experiance could tell you. I think that Brian and Ryan are salmon fishing as of today.

Anything including the Kansas Chicken Hawks would be highly objectionable to some. Just a thought. George

We were smallmouth fishing in very cloudy water and she caught it on a bright silver shad-rap type bait. You should have seen the bend it put in the rod that my dad made for me, like a question mark. The reason Stacey is not in the picture is 1) I am much better looking than her (not) 2) She didn't want to touch it (true) 3) She was very anxious about getting it back into the water asap and seeing it swim away unharmed (also true) The fish was released in good shape. Dear Brian K I think that it would be Ryan's opinion that fishing would be great after the water clears and comes down later this week. He thinks that with high water the fish are not feeding but are focused on holding in the river. When the water is back to normal, they should be very hungry. Good luck and let us know how you do. George

Had a great time on the river Sunday on a trip guided by Ryan. He warned us that the water would be up and extremely murkey which would make fishing conditions difficult, but we were there and decided to go anyway. We put in at Whiten and drifted to Riverton and the water was indeed up about a foot and moving at a pretty good clip. It was also very cloudy, but we had clear weather after a lot of rain on Saturday and did not see another soul on the river. I caught a couple of decent smallies, and oh yah, my wife Stacey landed a 24" hooked-jaw male rainbow, the fish of a lifetime for her. (Certainly much bigger than anything 2sheds has ever managed on all of his trips on this river.) It ranks her ahead of Grandpa Steff and myself and only behind midgelover in terms of family rainbows. This does not seem to want me to attach a photo, I will send one to Brian and have him attach one. It was our first time on the 11-point and we enjoyed it a lot. Our thanks to Brian and Ryan. George

Great photos Phil. Perhaps it is time to have seperate dedicated section of the web site for "Outside Fishing Trips", I just happened across this while looking for something else. After the Crock Hunter, I an especially glad you and Bill did not end up as bear dung. George

Not as bad a day for you as for Trent Green.

Beaver Dam Store 10th Annual One Fly_ October 29

I think that I am busy on the 39th. -
Hey 4Fun If you want to fish from shore with kids, the best place to go are the outlets by the hatchery when the dam is NOT making water. This is artificial lures only, also no soft plastic baits. Slot size limit less than 12" or over 20", so kind of catch and release. If you wanted to spend a few bucks and have a better chance to catch fish with the kids, I would rent a boat ( I am not sure if Phil rents them to non-unit renters, but Lillys would be a good place to start) and go up to short creek with some worms. The people at Lilly's are great and can always give good advice on where to go and what to use, but at this time of the year a worm is always a good choice, you never know when you will catch a big brown. This form is an excellent source of current fishing information. Good Luck PS There are good maps on this form

Sounds like a great day to me. What is a Sammy?

Brian Thanks for the report and putting up with my big brother Bob. I would love to have you guide me and my wife a day or two for smallmouth some time this earily fall before it get too cold for her. My work situation dictates that it be a Saturday/ Sunday type deal. Is this doable? George

Twosheds I agree,as is our style, we have really beaten this one to death. In the immortal words of the great John CLeese ( the last line of the offending skit ) Get your own Arts programme, you fairy!

Ouch As usual, 2sheds gets the praise and 2sets gets slammed. Tough being #2. I told you she was hot about the institutionalized comment. Sorry Mom. Did I ever tell you about the 15 lb northern I caught in Canada? I would post a photo ............BUT

Bob you stold my thunder, I was going to look in my garage tonight in my old cassette box and post a scan of the exact thing that you posted. "The sheds have NOTHING to do with my music" Arthur (two sheds) Jackson How do you like me now? George PS: The piper in actually in Ireland right now (World Championship ?) My Mom is not happy about the institutionalized crack, but what can you do.

Good Fly Fishing Areas - Below Trophy Area
twosets replied to troutchaser's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
2nd shed may include a freezer full of trout for all we know. He is not saying. -
My Dad (who has not yet been institutionalized yet) is also a good fisherman and has a cool boat. Here is a bigger brown that I caught and was able to quickly photograph and release to fight another day. (No excuse about hooking him too deep) Top that.
-
It really tightens my jaws for you to stoop so low as to bring my mother into this. She was institutionalized some time ago, but she can get out on a pass from time to time to do some fishing. My sister ran off with a bagpipe player years ago and I can't be sure, put that guy in the picture sure looks like him. Not sure about the broad. Here is a nice trout I caught last summer, much bigger than the rocks you were frying. Do the sheds have anything to do with your music?

Second set of books, I am a CPA and it is a nick name that stuck somehow. I think what is important is to get to the bottom of this second shed business. To believe that it is related to the Gravois Creek or a rumor that I heard that twosheds was thinking of building a second shed and thus got the nickname seems too trivial and obtuse.
-
It looks to me like you had to resort to cooking rocks in your second photo. Tell us more about your second shed. What was it used for?
-
I am interested in your second shed. Does it have anything to do with your fishing?

There is a liquid soap called tecneu that is sold in pharmacies that is excellent, even after you have the rash. I wash with it every time that I think that i may have been exposed, it is much more effective if you use it sooner than later. I would highly recommend it.

For a long weekend the beginning or August. I would really like to bring my surf casting outfit but I do not know if it is cool to fish off the beach. I would really like to get someone to take me back bay fishing, but am morally opposed to spending $500 for a half day of fishing.

Has anyone done any recent fishing in the Bahamas? I am not interested in deep sea, more surf, back bay or flats fishing. Any advice regarding guides or places to fish would be appreciated.

No need to go to Bass Pro, Phil has everything you need at great prices right at Lillys.

Sweet Story Marsha. Where did she find that guy that was fishing with her?
