As posted in the review forum... I got a book called Simple Flies. He is a sample of my first two.
Herl nymph - nymph hook, couple three turns of lead in thorax, pinched flat, black thread, super glue, and peacock herl
The next is my take on the killer bug... Same as above but with Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift Yarns (290 oyster color). This wool yarn is amazing. The pic does not do it justice. The "correct" way is with no thread or lead, only copper wire. Simply forgot, but I will tie some that way next
