  1. In my opinion our country is in great shape, have lived in Europe and couldn't get out of there fast enough. We are fortunate to live in the best country in the world!!!!!!!!
  2. I've always heard that a football field is correct etiquette, you did the right thing to just leave. Once I was fishing a point with surfacing fish and a boat motoring by seen the action, turned around and came off pad less than 30 yards from me dropped trolling motor and started fishing right next to me. I just shook me head in disbelief and moved to another spot. Cooler heads prevail!!!

You might try opening live well valve as you go between spots, that drains live well completely and then refill with fresh water. I do this several times a day if I have fish in the live well. Seems to work and have had no trouble keeping the crappie and walleye alive. Plus I always do it before I load up to head home, I live in Repulic and they're always alive when I get home, about a hour drive.
  4. The little sac seems to be warming the fastest. CPR = Catch Photography Release

    walleye

    Very nice outing! Congrats!
  6. Yep had it on from about 11 till I loaded up.
  7. Put in at Mutton at 8:30 and started for crappie in mutton had 4 with I keeper in 8-12 fow. Moved to googer and had 5 with 2 keeps, same depth. Headed to the mile long bridge area and was burning blade on mainlake points caught a bunch only a few keeps. Went to point 5 area and caught over 10 with a few keeps on c-rig lizard in 10-15 fow. Went to twin bridge area back to crappie on main lake swings and several shorts and 4 keeps. Ended the day with c-rig around mutton and had few more keeps. Final tally 7 keeper crappie and 8 keeper bass. All crappie on 1/8 oz red head with crystal shad jig. Tight lines and CPR
  8. Great job! I've noticed that your throwing one of my go to methods the "c-rig" a lot this spring. It's a fish catching machine!
  9. Not a thing, most people slit shot with 8lb test and on spinning gear. I use 17lb floracarbon main line and 15 lb mono leter cause it floats on a bait caster for my c-rig. With all the rocks in the lake and c-rig constantly on bottom I like a heavy set up. Imo
  10. Only advantage is can use spinning tackle. Imo
  11. That's very true that beginning anglers can have trouble noticing the bite thus the guy hook problem. I have not use a split shot for this very reason since late 90's. I use c- rig exclusively because you feel all the bites as the line slides through egg sinker. With split shot fish has to move enough line to move the weight before you feel the bite hinch the gut hook.
  12. That's a dandy! How long did it take to land it?
  13. Started at 7:30 in spawning pocket with c-rig lizard and only caught 3 before dark a short spot a short brownie and one keeper brownie. First time this year at the dam area and now I know what all the talk about the water color is. In 36 years of the fishing the dam area I've never seen that kind of water color! Fished from point 5 to point 2 area found temps 63.4-70.7. Tuff night for me only caught 4 after dark all on points with homemade 3/8 oz black/purple fb jig in 15-25fow. A nice 3.10 brownie fat keeper spot and two short brownies. Loaded up at midnight. Tight lines and CPR
  14. Thanks for the report, nice fish! Going Wednesday nights out of Indain and will post results. Tightlines and CPR Hammer time
  15. I had to look up the word "quibble" had never heard or seen in writing. Great word!
  16. I remember one of the first tournaments that BASS came back to the Rock, the winner caught all his fish on the turd worm aka green pumpkin fish doctor.
  17. Imo when the fishing gets tuff nothing beats split shot green pumpkin fish doctor. 8 pound test on spinning gear. If I was a guide I would have one ready every trip so customers could catch fish.
  18. Never criticized, just remember you signing off last year and you stated that you were done with the forum. I have been fishing Stockton for 36 years and gladly share my knowledge on the where, how when and the baits I use. I'm thinking that maybe it's time for me to sign off, seems like the forum has gotten away from simple fishing reports and lots of talk unrelated to fishing. Bassfisher, I have no ill will towards you, don't know you, only your posts.
  19. Thanks for the detailed report. Way to adjust your approach and figure them out!
  20. Fantastic! You are the walleye man!
  21. I guess not, that's your call. I'm not gonna change my name!
  22. Put in at Mutton at 9 and motored up to mile long bridge area and targeted swings, points and mainlake pockets with c-rig watermelon red zoom lizard. Found em in 8-25 fow. Worked up to twin bridge area and caught 23 with 9 keeps. At 4 changed over to crappie fished same type stuff with 1/6 oz red head jig with Chrystal shad and found some slaps in 10-18 fow. Caught 10 goodens 2 bonus eyes and several white bass. Didn't catch a short crappie. Water temps 58.4-64.3 . Had mainlake to myself, only one other boat on mainlake. Great day on the water! Had a blast! Tight lines and CPR
  23. Wonder why the return under a different name?
  24. Curious, you look like a guy that went by aggressor that posted and signed off last year? Is that you?
  25. My 11 year old Brittany gets all the eggs and sperm glands. She get super exited when I get ready to clean and especially when she hears cordless fillet knife!
