Indian Point 5-6 evening and night report
Hammer time replied to Hammer time's topic in Table Rock Lake
Merc 1997, I agree with you since the fish kill I catch them pre-spawn and in the fall when they move up other than that a few here and there day fishing. I night fish the dam area tons because of the largest population of brownies and most nights pic up a few that move up to feed. I believe the spawn is over and the blacks are deep in the dam area but will feed up soon. I should start catching a few a night soon. -
Put in 7pm h2o temp 66.74 that in mind started on main lake points. C- rig lizard in 8-15fow had 7 brownies with 3 keeps and a 18in eye first eye I've ever caught in the dam area and on the lizard blew me away. After dark same type banks with homemade 1/2oz black/purple football jig with black/blue 5in twin tail grub. Brownies were eating big time caught over 25 but only 4 keeps. Odd thing was never caught a black and only 2 short spots. Loaded up 1:30. Tight lines

I think guys like you who have caught a trout on the Rock should belong to a exclusive club. Have caught most species over the years but never a trout. Any pointers?

Put in at 39 bridge 2:30, headed up the Kings started on main lake points deep with a half ounce football jig caught 3 short kentuckies, water temp 69.9. Decide to leave and went up the white to the owl creek area, water temp 67.3. Tied on a deep little n, first cast,16" walleye. Went down channel swings with the same crankbait caught 3 nice blacks and a couple short spots. Left went down a bank that I normally dI good on post spawn, first cast, SLAM. Thought I had an 8 pound largie played him or three minutes finally saw him and it was a walleye as big as my arm! Seen the boat made one last run and broke my line. Tied on a 5x crankbait and on back to back casts caught a 19" and a 23.5" walleye, and two more shorts down the same bank. Went to the mouth of the Kings big main lake gravel point, found a school of spots on the football jig all shorts, loaded up at dark. Great trip. Tight lines.

Dam area 4-30 evening and night report
Hammer time replied to Hammer time's topic in Table Rock Lake
Used to split shot years ago and lost way too many fish. You nick 8lbs test a few times now you got 4lbs. Come post spawn I use same set up and throw finesse worms and turd worms they don't mind the 15lbs liter and I can muscle em in. Mostly throw football jigs post spawn and all summer with 20lbs floro. That's my preference. -
