  1. I'm ready to go again, but they keep running water whenever I've had the time available.
  2. Correct you are Dano. Ed was one of a kind, he'd talk your ear off about flies or just about anything else. Not only a loss to the fly fishing community, but he was a real decent person.
  3. Well, I finally made it out this past Sunday. Got to the river around 7:30 and was wading out 10 minutes later. Had my first one on about 3 casts in. Fished in the shadows of the rising sun and did well with a dark gray scud. Once the sun came over the tree tops I switched to an olive brown flymph and caught a few more. Moved down to the Watts area and caught 1, about 16", best fish of the day. The horn blew around 11:45, days over. I drove around and ended up down near gore landing where some folks were swimming and there were some bucket sitters. So I ask this question to Zach or anyone else, how is the fishing down in that area? Did anyone else make it out? If so, how did you fare?
  4. Anyone get a chance to go over the weekend with no generation in the AM?
  5. OK, so generation at least through Monday. I'm off until Thursday so here's betting that Thursday will be the first day with no generation?
  6. I saw that, generation tomorrow. Here's hoping for a chance on Monday or Tuesday
  7. Yes, but the problem with that scenario is I am unable to get away over the weekend.
  8. Everytime I have tried to take a day off and go fishing they schedule generation all day. Last week I couldn't get off and they have the power off all day. I decide to schedule the 3rd, and what do I get unfishable conditions....
  9. I haven't been fishing once since November. The DT's are getting to me, I'm coming in 2 weeks generation or not. What about fishing down in Gore below Marval's? still too high of a flow?
  10. Bump - Zach are you out there? What's the river like?
  11. Unfortunately this is a common problem. Anytime a tornado, ice storm, disaster strikes you will have those who see a way to turn a profit, not turn someone's life back in the right direction. The local news is filled with stories of the elderly losing their retirement because a contractor skipped town with the $ and work was never started or never finished.
  12. That's alot of fish for 3 days!
  13. You just might have the best backyard of anyone I know. I'm telling my wife she can pick whatever she wants in our next house as long as the backyard, frontyard, or sideyard are something like yours. Oh yeah, nice fish!!!!
  14. Headed up on Friday and curious about fishing conditions and any luck.
  15. 35+ fish is a good day, very nice.
  16. Casts ok with an 8wt, but not so much with a 4 or 5.
  17. So Mr Ducky, who do you like in the Kentucky Derby this year?
  18. Thanks for the laugh, that's a good one.
  19. Very wise words.
  20. I'll second that, very cool recipes. I especially like the glass midge and gulley worm. Thanks.
  21. Very cool, thanks for sharing.
  22. I can feel a case myself coming on. Very nice, catch 2 fish and call me in the morning.
  23. The add I'm looking at at the top of this page is a McCain add, it has a crystal ball with Hillary's pic and says, don't let this happen, click here. Funny add.
  24. Welcome, there are many fine fisherman here and few that are full of it. Sit down and enjoy your stay.
  25. I'm having this problem as well, at least since they installed a new internet blocker at work. Seems it considers OzarkAngers.com as worthless. Their defintion and mine of worthless are 2 different versions, good thing I still get it at home.
