  1. ^^^^^ that's funny!!!!
  2. adding to fingernails on a chalkboard for me is "irregardless"... my 8th grade grammar teacher would give you an F on any paper you used that grammatically incorrect word! Guess it stuck with me...
  3. Agree 100%... However, the signed limited edition print I am looking at on my wall came from BPS... LOL.
  4. It is closer to dingy right here at the bridge... before the last rain it was 8'+ north of Bridal Cave... This last rain brought it back to normal for this time of year... Well, "normal" is relative, it's not Chocolate Milk, has good color as of Monday.
  5. WTH, two posts in two days that I agree with??? Is my world collapsing around me?
  6. I get it wrench... However, I wouldn't debate on how hard JM has "worked" to get where he is... I can only imagine the hours/days he worked in the 70's and 80's while he was growing this business, did he also have fun, of course!!!! For me its a "walk a mile in his shoes" type of thing. I can't imagine the stress involved....
  7. I grew up fishing the lake, have lived on or very near the lake much of my life... I have certain areas of the lake memorized for each seasonal pattern, but I feel at $45 per year that is pretty cheap for new or current information. I no longer tournament fish and really only get to head out on the lake a few times each month so I will take any help I can get. Heck, the $45 per year would probably be the cheapest part of my fishing habit!!! I haven't signed up yet but I am about 1 bad day of fishing away!!!! Joe
  8. Agree, just hope they never tick him off like Colorado did to Magpul. I would hate to see Corporate offices or DC moved out of City or State.... Way too many people dependent on that income. hourly employees, managers, local hotels restaurants, etc... Many of the hotels in the area of Glenstone and Kearney have at least a few guests staying there for meetings at BPS most every week night. Kinda like when the owner of our company bought another "vacation" home and I heard someone grumble... I explained, I hope he never "HAS" to sell one cuz that means we are losing money and someone is looking for a job!!! LOL.
  9. I wonder how much tax revenue he has pumped into the city, let alone jobs created and tourist dollars.... Yep, he's gotten rich, but dang he has provided a lot of jobs and revenue while doing it! I can promise you Lebanon is very happy to have Tracker located there. It is one of the higher paying factory jobs in the area, much better than average for semi skilled labor.
  10. As they should!!! LOL
  11. Yes, you can own an AR15 in New York State. Yes it requires some modifications such as no compensator, no pistol grip, no folding stock, etc... But you can own a semi automatic AR type of weapon. I am not trolling and I normally don't agree with Chiefs post but to my knowledge there is not a state in the US that forbids you from owning a semi automatic weapon. yes some states might require modifications to be legal but legal they are... the SAFE act was based more on aesthetics than function.
  12. Thanks for your response.... I have been on numerous lake with HP restrictions and always keep my "big" motor trimmed up and out of the water while on them. I have never had a problem with people. I also do go on a lake with 25HP restriction with my 35hp jet motor, the lake is only used to get to the river that has no HP limit (go figure) but I always figure if I get a ticket it is my own fault... Personally, I don't see an issue with anyone bringing a boat that has a big motor as long as they don't "run" their big motor.... I guess I get the safety aspect of HP restrictions, Just don't get why it would be a problem if I had my 19' aluminum boat in the water with the motor trimmed up... what if the motor was inoperable, would I be legal then? I hate laws that are in place that don't make sense, I get it if the "big" motor is "running" but if they drop the boat in the water and never fire the big motor, what does it matter??? Heck, I lived in WA state and they had HP restricted lakes, which only meant you couldn't "run" your big motor... Kinda funny that a liberal butt state like that is easier to deal with than Springfield Mo!!! LOL Anyway, I have an extra boat that meets the HP requirements so I will use that boat if fishing your lake! Joe
  13. Phil, thanks for posting the link... guess I should have checked before posting, that one pretty much answered all my questions! I can't believe I missed it the first time around!!! LOL.. Thanks again. Joe
  14. Just wondering if anyone visits the Bassinbob fishing reports and forums. To get access to the daily reports cost $45 per year. Really just wondering if anyone has paid for the "pro" version and what there thoughts are on it. Thanks, Joe
  15. I have a buddy that tied a rope across an open slip with no brush and then put a swim ladder by the one that had his boat lift AND all the brush in it he also another ladder on the outside edge that was covered with brush... he claims it works well and laughs while he watches people fight the ropes to try and throw into the slip with no brush in it. He does admit they catch a few out of that slip but nothing compared to the other one!
  16. to the OP, were they running the "oversize" motors on the lake or were they using their trolling motors? I understand what the law says just curious what you observed...
  17. Great information and we had a successful trip. Everyone caught fish with a couple of browns and typical stocker size rainbows. Thanks again for all the great information this forum provides. Joe
  18. Wow, surprised you caught any smallies in the Niangua, I heard they were all dead!!! I know for sure they can't survive below the Bridge Piers....Luckily those pesky creatures don't exist in the Little Niangua.
  19. Nice fish, enjoy dinner!!!
  20. Glad some things don't change! Haven't been there in about 15 years, and I live at the lake, just the wrong end!!!
  21. If that deal falls through please let us know. I might be interested. Joe
  22. I have searched and not found any clear answers, do you guys have a recommended jig weight based on flows something kinda generic would be great, Ie: 800-3000 CFS 1/16Oz 3-6,000 1/4Oz 6-8,000 3/16 Oz Just looking for suggestions! What about Felt soles, I know the white is "infected" but I can't find any ban on felt soles.... Joe
  23. I just downloaded the app. I didn't use one of the promo codes, I really don't fish that area often and felt guilty taking one of the codes. I am going on my first White River trip this Friday and will use the app and post a review here and on the app store. Thanks
  24. Early evening bite has been hot... 6 or so until dark, I had to work today and didn't get out until after 6. Talked to a couple of guys at the ramp headed home, they had a rough day. I was on fish most of the evening so that holds true to the reports I have gotten the past few days. Evening bite is where it has been!
  25. Yep, I talked to a couple of other buddies that said it was like a light switch around 6-6:30pm. They fished from 1pm to 6pm with about 10 fish in the boat, limited pretty quickly after the switch was flipped!
