  1. Thanks Phil....for telling it like it is. Your testimony is well received by me and mine. Your faith is exemplary, and the help of friends and neighbors is wonderful. We are still looking forward to coming there again this fall. We pray that God will continue to be your strength, and we are confident that your faithful devotion to Him will carry you and your family, and staff, through this situation with renewed faith. We are sorry we could not be among those who came to aid you, but north Texas is a long way from Lilley's Landing, and, with my handicap and years, I would have probably been in the way. But our prayers continue. chambug
  2. Remembering them in our prayers.

  5. Chief Grey Bear is not the only one with proud American Indian heritage. I have no quarrel with him at all, and my extended right hand will serve as my peace pipe if we ever meet....and I hope we do. I am very proud of my American Indian heritage, whatever my comparable percentage as compared to the Chief or anyone else. I did not mention religion, I simply pledged my prayers. Why do some respondants surmise that I should not be interested in any discussion on here, or for some reason I should not participate. Are my rights and interests any less assured than theirs? My statement did not take sides on the issue....it merely pointed out a subject that, under the circumstances, is of much more consequence. Right now nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of the people in harms way due to the floods and tornados and wildfires. My State, and the States of most of the respondents on here are affected by what is happening, and I respect the magnitude of their losses. I choose to help in the best way I can.....I will continue to pray. chambug
  6. Thank you, Ness! Your statement is objective, while many have made their responses subjective. chambug

  8. Which one is your girtfriend, Cricket? Fish on, Brother!!!!!! chambug
  9. The rain has definitely helped the fire fighters in Texas. However, the weather got worse as it travelled northeast, and a good thing turned bad for a lot of people. We are praying for those adversely affected. chambug
  10. We watched with great concern as the weather flared up into tornados. We had loved ones in tne path in Oklahoma. We prayed that you and all others were safe. The property losses are typically terrible, but those things can be replaced. Our prayers are with you and all others adversely affected by the weather. chambug
  11. HELLO!!!!! IS ANYBODY OUT THERE? chambug
  12. I'm trying to figure out how to post some of the news about the Texas fire (I'm fairly ignorant of how to do things on a computer), but if you feel your post will help get the message out, please re-post it. And, any out there who believe in prayer, please pray for the firefighters, and those who have lost property and land resources, and the families of the two firefighters who lost their lives fighting the fires in Texas (and in Arkansas if any have been lost). chambug
  13. I did comment on the fires in Arkansas....I am praying for the firefighters there right along with those from Texas. Two firemen have died fighting the fires in Texas. Thanks for the comeback. chambug
  14. HMMMMMMMMMM....NO responses? Kind'a makes me wonder?
  15. We have dozens of wildfires in Texas right now that have burned over a million acres in hundreds of counties, and hundreds of homes and ranches have been burned out. Pray for our firefighters in Ark. and Tex. chambug

  20. Awwwwwww....thanks Pete. I've been known to hit a few. Back in my younger days I carried a 9 handicap. I've even got a hole in one, on a par 3 with an 8 iron. FORE is a word I learned early in my golf "career"....about 65 years ago. Chambug People still have more fun than anybody!
