  3. This is pretty nifty. Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area. ! ; It's updated every evening. Just click on the link. You will see a map of your area and then scroll down and you will get a listing of gas prices in your area with addresses and brands starting with the cheapest and going up. http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx
  4. Here is the fishing from last night.. May 12, 2006... I did get to the lake about 9pm.. water was off.. but looked higher then normal, Started off around chute 2 throw a egg sucking leech, caught 7 within about 30 minutes. Lots of misses.. then I put on a olive pine squirrel sculpin (unweighted).. picked up about 10 more fish.. then I made my way down toward the big hole... started just below the rebar with the sculpin.. after about 20 some cast a very few strikes, I switched again.. to a beaded white wolly.. fished cast was a 19 inch brown.. and the third cast was a 17 3/4 brown... these were the only 2 nice fish of the night... I did end up catching maybe 40 fish last night in the 10-16in range.. I put on the "new bug" and the were hitting the glowing float.. so I put on a top water fly.. and caught a few more fish on the way back up to the car... I left the lake around 12:30 am.... all in all a really good night!! I think I saw a light from someone else last night but couldnt tell if he was catching fish or not.. I only seen his light on maybe 3 times..
  5. I heard yesterday (last night) that a local guy caught a 8maybe a 9lb bow out of chute 2 yesterday afternoon on a midge (size unknown)

  14. SGF.. Even if they run water this weekend.. fishing will be GREAT... They havent ran much water lately and when they do.. it will send the fish into a feeding fenzie, I you do fish this weekend just hope they do turn it on for a few hours.. The bottom of the lake is really looking bad.. and they really do need to run it!! Leonard
  15. Instead of starting another thread.. hope you dont mind me adding to this one... Fishing report.. Thursday Night..4/27/06 I meet up with a guy from Florida (his first time night fishing for trout).. we hit the water around 8:15 and did alittle sight fishing caught one about 19in... close to 9pm we geared up and got our waders on.. Notice afew people night fishing last night.. we headed toward the big hole.. we started throwing a black pine squirrel sculpin.. and we pick up maybe 6 or 7.. and the we switch to white and picked up about 10 more..it was a very slow night.. we did have 1 about 8in lond swallow a #8 white wooly.. so we had to cut the line.. we ended up catching maybe 25 fish from 9-midnight.. slow night but not bad!!
  16. first round just pasted over me.. Lots of thunder and some lightening.. has a little bit of hail too.. power flickered on and off a couple of times it was a good one.. I think it came down to hard to soak in.. most of it here was just run off... right into Tablerock.. Also it looks like its dropping the temps a couple degrees
  17. Brian... I haven't been out much (during the day..LOL) But a buddy of mine says they are still tearing them up... he is even catching the downtown Branson on the roo's by the railroad tracks (but I didnt say that!!!)
  18. I did end up going last night for about 4 hours... well man was I wrong!!! started about 9:30pm I got there and there was a very dense for on the water and some lightening in the back ground ( up towards springfield area).. being I have hard ever caught a fish on white in the fog, I change my fly before I even got my waders on.. I put on a chili pepper.. caught 2 (and had about 8 taps) in the first half hour just enough to keep it interesting.. well I got tried of that one and tried a white (20 minutes) nothing even touched it.. Then I put on a olive sculpin.. pick up 2 more in about 30 minutes.. well then I switched flies again... to a black unweighted pine squirrel sculpin... THAT WAS IT!!! over 35 fish in about 2 hours and the biggest was about 24 in rainbow (caught just below chute 2) and a brown 20 1/2in (caught him out of the rebar hole as my last fish on the way back to the car) So that tell me one thing I need to make more black sculpins *G* fog = black!!! All in all another GREAT night on Taneycomo
  19. Oh my was I ever wrong on this last post... I did make it out last night ... fishing report on a new thread..
  20. Try a lightly weighted white wooly (or small floating rapala's just drifting and short twiches)... with the over cast clouds.. it shoud be great... start around chute 1 and work your way down to the rock between 1 & 2.. Below the rebar probably got hit hard this weekend.. so they may be a little spooky... but hardly any one stay between 1 & 2 for any lenth of time. The boat ramp (hatchery side) will be good too.... its got a really deep run in it... and they kinda stage there at night Luck too you.. wish I could join you!!!
  21. Did they finally generate water today... 2 on ??? Boy I wonder what that water looked like??? I hope it cleaned it out some

  24. Sorry... didnt see it before I left... I did catch 30+ fish tonight most was about 14-18 (no big ones tonight).. all between chute 1 and 2.. here's a good one... Im always bragging about the big one... well tonight I caught the baby, 4in big..caught a size 8 white wolly.. almost as big as him next for sure!!
  25. What a night!!! Nice calm wind, the moon was out, and it like late Oct when the big browns run.. It wasnt as good as the other night... Oh yes it was!!! I got to the water about 9:30.. and hit the same spots as I normal do.. I caught maybe 35-40 fish.. But.. I'd say 85% of them was in the 17-19in range.. using white again.. this time I wasnt the only one down there... a few guys down there camping.. and a couple of guys from Springfield.. we started talk and fishing and it seemed they did pretty good to.. I know the caught a nice brown and a big bow. now I need to rest... going again tonight.. see you there
