  1. Albright... I know catching a big fish on a ultralite is fun... But if your going to fish a spinning rod at night.. you may want to bring a lite to medium action.. with either 6 or 8lb line... you never know whats on the other end... as for as lures go... 1 1/2-2 inch floating rapalas..(in blue/silver, black/silver) are the 2 thats working best right know.. for the fly rod.. a #8 or 10 olive pine squirrel sculpin.. I've even seen some 1/128 olive jigs working good at night... Then you have my favorite (the secret night fly)...LOL
  2. Im behind you 100% I was there today also.. Its was unbieveable on the people that was fish up in chute 3... Id say at leat 6 to 8 people... In chute 3 there is a sign "No Fishig Above This Point" (right?)... Ive seen countless time people fishing up in there.. Not to say I wont mind fishing in there once or twice.. But it is posted so I dont.. About chute 2.. at the top of the stairs.. I saw a guy standing by the "NO FISHING" sign fishing..LOL.. guess he was illiterate.. yes something really needs to be done..
  3. I like the looks of.. 2 strands for 20's and smaller.. stay to about 24... 3 strands for 18's ... 16 and bigger, I think the yarn looks better
  4. Albright... the next time you guys come down.. give me a shout... I be more then glad to meet up with you guys for some night fishing... (thusday or saturday night is best for me) Leonard
  5. Hey Sam.. the next time you decide to night fish Taney.. give me a shout.. I'll join you.... The reason for set the long leaders is... the fish (mostly browns) lays on the bottom at night.. yes there are very active but the also just lay there waiting on the food to drift into their mouths... so the egg pattern being used is really "rolling" across the bottom..
  6. I think that the jigs still works great... at least around "The Dock"...LOL... I did pick up 2 today casting into the open water
  7. just to let you all know... Im here now!!! LOL nice board Phil..
  8. Seth... I think the best looking scud with the ostrich is done with scud backs and mono rib... dont trim the top... the backs will push them down... and if you want them alittle "fatter" add the weight under them but if you leave it round and fluffy (like an egg pattern)... it works pretty good to..
