  1. I guess the biggest question... How many guys are looking at fishing on that day.. Alot of these guides work together and help each other to set up trip when big parties are involved...Or refer you to another if they are already booked some guides to check out... Don House, Bill Babler, Tracy Frenzel, Troy Greggs and more... these just are lures and baits... Bill I believe does some fly fishing but if you got more then 3 guys in a boat.. someone will probably get hooked Now if you want some boat guided fly fishing... Id talk to .. Chuck at Anglers and archery, Bret at Chartered water, or get a hold of Phil and see if he would be willing to help you find a guide that can.....
  2. well we just cooked up the crappie from yesterday.... I dont know how many of you guys have had the cold water (taneycomo) crappie... But I think they have a better flavor... Phil... do you agree? they taste different (better) then warm water crappie)
  3. I spent about a hour and a half on the water yesterday.... to get a good look around... I decided to bring home a little "meat" for dinner... caught 3 trout on the PMS jig..... BUT~~~~~ I also caught 13 white bass ** Dinner*** and 6 very nice crappie ***also dinner*** mostly all the fish caught come on the either the black or the olive PMS.... I fished from the cable down to the walk-in path below outlet 1 Leonard
  4. Hey bud... Good to see you.. welcome to the MADNESS!
  5. I think your doing thing right... You have to remember that the water is high and there is a lot of it... The fish are really scattered. When they flush (or feed the fish)in the hatchery, the fish will move into the outlet and feed and after a little bit will move back out.. other then that colors will just depend on what they want... and what time of day will come into play also.. Try this.. Head over to Phils and get some scuds,egg/glo-balls, and SJ worms and a few floats... with lite line... you can throw this on a spinning rod... you dont need a fly rod to throw flies Leonard
  6. I started around 10:30 pm... at outlet 1 I tossed a rouge a couple dozen times ...nothing Olive PMS jig... a few bumps.. 1 fish brown did better but then the purple PMS started to hummer then... lots of fish in the 16-19in and a few in the 12-14in... probably ended up catching over 40+ I did switch on and off to use shad raps and other rouges but the jigs really out produced them all..
  7. I know.. That dang thing was out 2 nights in a row..
  8. I heard they were standing on the road down there fishing.. catching walleyes and a bass here and there.... throwing rapalas
  9. as of noon today.... 5 opened.. 5 shut.... and dropping fast
  10. News Release Back to News Release Index Release No: 33-11 Release: Immediately April 30, 2011 Contact Greg Oller, 417-334-4101, ext. 3006 Allen.G.Oller@usace.army.mil HIGHWAY ACROSS TABLE ROCK DAM TO CLOSE FOR 14 DAYS BRANSON, Mo., – Highway 165/265 across Table Rock Lake will close at 6 a.m. Tuesday for 14 days while repairs are made on the downstream embankment of the dam. Repairs are necessary because recent heavy rains have caused surface “skin” slides of topsoil that covers the embankment. The dam is sound, but the slides must be repaired. Officials at the Army Corps of Engineers Table Rock Project Office said they regret any inconvenience this may cause, and they ask for public cooperation until the work is complete. The officials ask travelers to plan alternate routes and allow extra time to reach their destinations. The closure is being coordinated with emergency services and law enforcement agencies. For more information about Table Rock Lake, visit the website at www.swl.usace.army.mil/parks/tablerock or contact Lake Manager Greg Oller at (417) 334-4101 ext. 3006. http://www.swl.usace.army.mil/news&info/news/2011/033-11.html

  16. I really think everyone is looking at this the wrong way... In 08 we got over 115+ (maybe more) inches of rain (a record rainfall year) all the little "rain storms" we got that year on a already soaked ground.. everything that year was runoff This I do believe was just a "freak" rain event.... Yes we will get more rain through out the year..but I didnt think it will be anything like this last one
