  1. Sore thumbs I was just joking. Just in case you didn't know. Thanks for the prize though, lol.
  2. Do I win some prize?
  3. I agree about the pflueger presidents, for the money they are really hard to beat. I use shimano stradics as well and love them. I have had 2 of them for over 12 years and I use spinning gear exclusively. Until recently I have only fished rivers and ponds and the stradics have been great.
  4. I am going to say around 67lbs. It is just really hard to catch 25lb bags 3 days in a row. Even for these guys.
  5. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I hate to bother you for more info but I guess thats why we are on the forum. So where do you get those jig heads at a reasonable price or do u just make them yourself?
  6. This has probably been covered, but are you guys just using a standard round jig head or are you using a shakey head jig? Or a jighead where the bait stands more up and down. Also are you using weedguards or no?
  7. Thats good to know alex. I havent had a problem yet but just in case it is good to know the company backs the product. I know the bills break on these I guess you guys just talked me into buying a backup.
  8. I agree quillback, I have learned you cant put a price tag on confidence in a bait either and I have a ton of confidence in that bait. I was thinking of buying another one and thats why I started the discussion. I havent really gotten a clear answer on origianl 110 or + 1. So whats your guys guess for mid march with this bad winter a little deeper jerkbait or just standard depth?
  9. Just to be clear. I have owned 2 megabass jerkbaits in my life. I lost one last year at LOZ and the other one is the 110 original in megabasss sexy shad color. In one year I have caught over 100 bass off that lure and I dont fish that much. So I am pretty impressed with it but since I am a beginner I dont have very many other experiences or jerkbaits to compare it with. Thats why I appreciate the info about the mcsticks, I cringe at the $24 I would have to spend on another megabass but I know they work.
  10. Lol! Too funny champ. I forgot the bass down there are possibly razorback fans. I may have to pick me up some razorback red jerkbaits. Man I hear you on the cold and ice, I know this weather is great for the forum though, I check it every hour or so. This is the best forum of any I have ever read by far.
  11. I am obviously a novice fisherman. This will be my first time to fish table rock in my own boat. I have been to table rock a few times before but never in mid march. I was thinking with this harsh winter the fish may still be deeper at that time. I also heard that purple is a good color on table rock but I have never heard about red being a color of choice. I assumed with super clear water u would want a more natural color?
  12. I havent used the mccstick. I didnt know it went that deep. Thanks for the info I will have to pick one up when I go buy my auger.
  13. Probably been discussed before, but since the 110 +1 goes a little deeper is it a little more suitable for the rock in early spring? I am talking early to mid march.
  14. I have been to table rock only once but will be back down there in march. Are jerkbaits the lure of choice and if so what depth do they usually work at? Megabass vs lucky craft and colors would be helpful as well as GPS coordinates. Lol just kidding of course, but I am beginner for sure and any advice would be helpful
  15. Hello everyone, our bass club is having a tournament on Truman lake Sept 14th with a 60/40 payout. 40% of the proceeds are going to fishing for freedom which is a great organization that helps our soldiers get out and fish. This is the 2nd Palmer Memorial tournament which is in honor and memory of our club president's son. The entry fee is 100$ per boat and we will launch out of state park around 6:30am or safe light. The weigh in will be at 3:00pm, you can visit our club website smithvillebassmasters.com for more info or just post questions here and I will be happy to answer them. We will be taking entrees at the ramp around 545 am the morning of the tournament. Please help support our troops and the memory of a great soldier, thank you.
  16. Hello everyone, our bass club is holding an open benefit tournament out of state park on sept 14th. We are going to start at safe light (630ish). It is 60% payout with the other 40% benefitting fishing for freedom. The tournament is called The Palmer Memorial in honor of our club presidents son who served in the military. It is a buddy tournament with $100 per boat entry fee. We would love to have a big turn out to support our troops! If questions let me know. Thanks for the time
  17. Heading down on Friday, I was wondering if the majority if the spawn was over or if it is still coming. I haven't been down since march, I am hoping for better weather this time around. I am a novice so any info would be appreciated
  18. Well yesterday we caught a bunch of bass really shallow on plastic craws. We had around ten keepers and a bunch of shorts. Today was a little tougher we caught six keepers one around 4 and another over five with around 10 shorts mixed in. My buddy caught his on a jig and mine came on a plastic craw, all we very shallow.
  19. Thanks for the update! We are headed up the grand tomorrow, excited to go fishing on a weekend without rain and snow.
  20. I am coming down to fish on Friday and sat, any info on what stage the bass are at? Also was wondering what the water clarity and temps are like. Any info would be great.
  21. Coming bass fishing tomorrow. Anyone have a water color report for me? Trying to figure out what colors to tie on and also wondering if anyone has any info on what the bass are up to. I am guessing they are confused with this weather pattern. I am tempted to tie back on a jerkbait
  22. Alright guys, I am coming down tomorrow, what is the water color and temp? I am getting back home tonight really late so I need to know what to tie on and you guys never fail me!
  23. Not so good for me and my partner. We went out sat from 1130 to 4 I caught two keepers one went 3.5 and the other 2.0 no shorts. 2.0 on a little jig and the bigger one on a senko. Water was pretty dirty but temps were around 51-53. We fished everything and threw about everything. Sun we fished the spring fling and did even worse. 1 keeper about two pounds for me no shorts for either of us. Looking back I think we should have gone farther up the river. We should have caught fish though, temps were rising water was clearing up, not one short in two days just plain strange. My partner didn't catch a fish in two days. I am going back down on Friday and Saturday so hopefully my luck will be better, any advice would be more than welcome.
  24. Thanks Mopanfisher, I really appreciate the info especially about the water clarity and temp.
