yea that's what I thought and now if I could find some bulk line to fill the spools with that would save me a lot of money on tippet vs buying the spools of tippet that's why I was wondering if I could just buy line in the same diameter of tippet and use it.

You guys should check out these spools I found called tippet boss u can use a drill to fill the spools.

1st question : Is there anyone out there not using fluorocarbon. I have always used it but this last weekend on tanney I bought the cheaper non fluorocarbon and fished midges with low water and got lots of fish. Made think if there was really that much difference? 2nd question I have what's the difference in tippet material vs. regular fishing line. Why can't I buy bigger spools of 2ib line for example and use it for tippet is there really that much difference or is it just a market game they play? Thanks

i mainly fish tanney but was wondering how many different color midges do u carry.. If you tie 5 different sizes then have to tie them in all these different colors then thats alot of midges. LOL just wanted to get a imput on what you guys do?

I have a eagle 176 and I use the one that came with the boat. It's a small garmin but it is useless other then a depth finder so I'd like to see what others recommend. I don't want to spend a fortune but I think I liked something with side imaging but don't know much about it. butt far as catching bass on fly I'm no expert but would imagine u would want a full sink line

I know this is probley not in the right section but knew alot of the fly fisherman look at this section so that is why I placed it here. I do alot of trout fishing on tanney. I dont live in the area but do have a lake house here. I recently got a helios 8wt and was wondering where around the branson/ kimberling city area where i could take my 17 ft boat with 40hp to get in on some white bass fishing with a fly rod this spring. I have never done it but heard it was alot of fun. So figured you guys could help me out on where i can put in and fish that was public. Also would like to hear what some of your favorite fly's so i know what i could be tying this winter to accomplish this. Thanks for all the help

So for trout and 5 wt or 3 et u just use a smaller piece of mono is that correct. I was thinking of going and buying some stern fishing line of different pound test and making leaders that tapered that way. Anyone have any reviews with that method

Looking at purchasing a drift boat. Never rowed one but fished out of one a couple times. I will ocanssionly have 3 people total but alot of times I will be solo so was wondering if you drift boat people could give me some reviews ideas ect to help me research on the right boat. Most of my fishing is on tanney and the white river. been looking at the head water skiff anyone know anything about it. Well if you could give me your ideas on drift boats it would be greatly appricited. Thanks

I fish a lot midges as much as my fishing is on tanney. Im trying to make room in my fly boxes and was wondering how many differnt sizes of midges do you carry. I carry 16-20 on every size but thinking of just carrying 18's. but would like to see what you all thought?

I want to clean my line and put new dressing on it but the problem is I have no line dressing and no where around here t get any. I have read online to use armor then I read not to so would like some opinions from you folks here is it safe to use it or not and have you had any experience with using it for this .
