I tried Saturday morning early at 4:00 AM up north from mutton creek main lake points and half way back in coves. We threw it all and DID NOT get a bite. Fished from top water to 30 ftw. I threw into middle of bushes to the bank and drag out jigs - 12 inch worms to 7 inch worms. Got the idea of try a swim bait threw the bushes still didn't get a bite and yes did lose a couple of baits. I have no clue what the heck is going on up here. Use to be able to catch some fish every time we went out, they might not be keepers but at least we could catch some fish.

A little help and or advise. Please!!!!!! Have been fishing pretty hard for the last month, trying to prepare for a tournament that was 2 weekends ago at which was at night, at which only caught a water moccasin that hitch a ride and I found it wrapped around my fuel line at back of boat. So i have been fishing a lot at night and fishing from two inches of water to 30 ftw. Thinking with the lake coming up and water getting into the bushes, that's got to be the ticket. Fished Friday night for a few hours and wife caught one 12 inch bass on plastic worm, (( her second bass on a worm now i can't get her to put it down )) I have thrown everything that I can think of other than sinking the bost and maybe then a fish might bite whatever floats, Been fishing spinner baits - jigs - small crawls to bigger ones - ned rig - to carolina rig to baby bush hogs to 12 inch worms and crank baits, I have been fishing from the mouths of cove to the backs mainly mutton creek and up towards dam have been down to greaser creek twice. Have I lost my fishing ability or are the fish just missed up??????

Fishing Sat night, Not sure what the bass will be doing, biting or lock jaw? If any one has any thoughts ides or suggestion would appreciated. I spent a few hours last night looking at my tackle and rods and reel and not sure what to tie on. I have been watching lake level and it looks like it has came up about a foot since yesterday morning. I am sure it will keep coming up.

I do believe they are, last weekend we had several hit us at boat in 10 fow as we brought the jigs up. We were using white blue white jigs and they stopped hit them all together wife and daughter started throwing red black yellow and started catch them again. That was in Britch branch haven't fished in Greaser any this year. We have a Bass tourny this Saturday so we probably won't get to fish any til Sunday. Good Luck I would say fish slow, our bites were just weight, very few were hitting hard, I started watching my line that had a bow in it and when I seen it start to straight I would set the hook and have one ever time..

I used to fish tournaments several year ago. Me and my wife are going to fish tournaments this year. She love's fishing as much as I do. I got out of fishing when i started my own business and couldn't do both at that time. ( 2002 ) Our first tournament is on Stockton and is out of CC Saturday, That is a part of the lake that I haven't ever fished and do not know anything about that part. We were up Saturday and Sunday but dummy me didn't think about going up there and fishing it at all until we were driving home last night . That's my fault. I use to per fishing before. Now I am asking for a little help I would really like for her first time fishing a tournament one that she can remember and build from. I looked at map last night and don't really think we will be running up to where we normally fishing cause water is down and me not knowing that part of lake I don't want to risk our safety. Just ask for a little help.
