    I don't get to fish often (gotta work) and when I do, I don't often have much success. Sometimes I get lucky. I did get out for about 4 hours last Saturday. Fished around Pontiac to Point 12. Had two lmb on a crank crawl and that was it. I actually tried to fish the Ned, but it was really windy and I didn't have much luck. Sorry guys. I come here to learn from you guys. Hopefully one of these days I will get good enough to add some valuable content.

    I went by Bass Pro and picked up some of the Zman products. Like I need any more tackle in the boat. Haven't been able to get out yet, I am planning on spending a few days at Pontiac during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Hope to get out then. I am excited to give these a try.

    Thanks for the explanation. I did some research and I can't believe I have never heard of this bait. I fish a 5" gray grub a lot and it almost always produces fish, but not many quality fish. This is a little like that grub without the tail. I will have to give this a try next time out. Thanks again.

    Thanks for the report. I fished Saturday from 8:00 - 11:30 am with little success. Guess I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.. again.

    I don't usually post because I do a lot more fishing than catching. However, I do like the site and learn a lot from reading what you guys post. Thanks and let's keep it going.

    Ham - I did all the same things with the exception of the SR5. I threw a grey grub on ends of bluffs at transitions dragging on the bottom. Got my two bass that way. Great posts all. Thanks for the info.

    How would a newbe (last 3 or 4 years) identify these coves? Are they shallow coves off the main lake with large flats, etc?

    Great info. Thanks How do you define a spawning cove?

    Nice fish. I fished the Pontiac & Theodosia area Sat, Sun and Mon morning. I had two 3.5 lb bass off a gray grub on the bottom in 30' of water. I threw jerk baits on the points off main lake and secondary in coves and never had a bite. Never thought they would be up in the creeks. Gotta learn to fish the Bull.

    Nice report. Thanks. I am with Ham. I have been really struggling this season. I have been fishing the lower Bull Shoals area for a couple years now. I usually do okay, not great. This past fall has been really slow for me. I guess I need a good lesson on how to read the electronics.
