  1. So, I am planning on going out this weekend and trying some night fishing. I plan on putting in around Big Indian area. My question is what the heck are the fish doing right now at night? You catching them shallow? I was kinda thinking about throwing a big spook before dark and throwing a dd22 after dark but like I said I haven’t been out. Or do you think it would be better to slow down and fish a jig or a worm? Also, has anyone been going to the back of the creeks? Any info on anything would be much appreciated!!! J When I get back I can tell you what I found out……………….
  2. I almost always use a 1/8 or a 1/16oz... 90% of the time I throw watermelon/red finesse worm. Throw it on 6lb or 8lb flouro. I am with dtrs5kprs on this....having a leader is just another point of failure, but i know guys that like having the braid main for sensitivity reasons... Best spot to throw shakey head is around docks. And if the fishing gets really tought I like to throw it in the thick of trees. I know ur kinda taking a gamble with 6# and 8# line but it can payoff.
  3. Buy some speed craws and you will tear em up!!!
  4. Yeah,,,they are awesome. I wish I could afford to have it and a truck!! It's a 350...
  5. Has 195,000 on body, but only has 30,000 on new motor. 4 x 4 works good....heater and ac good. Great and smooth riding rig. Just need a truck....I am oopen to trades..$4,200 OBO Thanks, Brandon
  6. Whats the entry for the polar bear and do you pay at Prairie Creek ramp? Never fished it before but thought I would this year....
  7. Well I am glad to see you guys doing so well out there. I am going to try to get back out there this week sometime. I actually told myself that I was not going to go back.....Table Rock has been on my mind since my last outing, but obviously it is not the lake just me. I will let you know how I do next time I get out. Think I am going to fish Big Clifty area this time. Thanks for the info.
  8. Wow! What a great day on Beaver....I went out Saturday morning...Fished Fords Creek and PC area from about 7:30am til noon. Threw a spinnerbait til my arm about fell off with no success. Picked up the wart and lost two good fish on it. Covered a ton of water and only had three bites. Lost two and pulled in one 17' LM. Don't know what the deal was just could'nt get on them...Were you fishing more main lake or creeks?
  9. Sorry guys it already sold...I should have had more info out there, I apologize.

  11. That's $2000 obo.....
  12. Good strong motor. Was in storage for a few years and recently had a tune up...Used very little. 2000BO
  13. I am going to fish the co-angler side next month on the BFL. Is there anyone out there that has any insight on do's and do not's, tips on fishing the back of the boat, what to bring, well you get my drift. I don't consider myself to be "green" to bass fishing because I do have a boat and fish quite a bit but I know that this will be a different experience and I am hoping a good one. I just want to learn more about the sport..... Thanks
  14. Hey that would be great. You can email me at brandon.thomas@tyson.com Thanks again
  15. What a great story. I think my friend will have about the same determination to pursue the outdoors life. He is just 20 years old and I know he is going to have some tough times ahead of him, but hopefully with the help of family and friends he can have a productive life. I really appreciate your comments and everyone else in this forum. It really means alot. If you can get anymore information for me it would be great.
  16. Thanks again everyone for your comments. You have given me alot of helpful info. There are some really friendly folks on this site.
  17. Hey I appreciate your comment. I was honestly thinking that myself.......(just get up on the bank and transfer him in) So you think I should probably look into buying chair with arms? The only thing I worry about is if I need a harness or something to keep him in the chair....I was just thinking for when he gets a fish on. He is paralyzed from the nipple down but may be able to have a surgery that will give him feeling from the waist up. I know it will be awhile before we get out there but I just want to be prepared. I want his fishing experience to be as comfortable as possible. Also, please give me any advice on what to be prepared for. Thanks again for your kind words.
  18. Hey guys I really appreciate all your suggestions. I will look into all of them and if you have anymore don't be shy...I am willing to do anything to make it work. Although, I don't have all the money in the world so I am trying to come up with some ideas maybe I can do on my own or relativley cheap. Thanks again.
  19. Thanks for the advice minnowhooker. I have a 18' Skeeter bass boat right now and the places we fish are suited better for a bass boat. I know a pontoon would probably be easier but would like to make it work with a bass boat. I would do anything to get this guy in the boat because he is really an avid fisherman. If anyone has any ideas at all I would greatly appreciate it. I know when he gets out of rehab he will want to get out there and do some fishing so I want to have a good set up for him. Thanks
  20. I have a buddy that is now a paraplegic and loves to fish. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that maybe has gone through this process before. Any ideas would be great on how to set up the boat for his use. Also tips on getting him in the boat and things of that nature. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  21. Was thinking about going out tomorrow afternoon and fishing around the War Eagle area. I have recently been fishing around Big Clifty area with little success. I imagine there is still a lot of floating debris. I know the cassmasters tourneys has had some pretty descent limits...If there is anyone out there that has any other suggestion please let me know. I just know I have been searching for some good color water and have found some but like I said have had limited success. Thanks
  22. Where you are putting in fishing is what I consider to be smallmouth territory but I am not saying you can't catch some lagemouth around there. I know there are some folks that have been catching them up shallower but with the cool nights and the water still not at a steady level I would count on your consistent bite being out on that old shoreline. Also, the bites have been really hard to feel so don't be afraid to set the hook on anything that feels funny...also watch your line closely. I wouldn't be afraid throw the crankbait or the spinnerbait also. I was checking periodically on the shallows throughout the day. If you want to hunt for the largemouth go up Thesodoshia arm and fish the pockets. Good luck
  23. I fished Bull this past weekend and did decent considering the highwater.(12 smallmouth w/3 keepers) If I were going back I would probably do the same thing that I did. Fish for smallmouth. They are a blast to catch and there are some monsters on Bull. I would make long casts and use light line.(6#-10#) I would throw a tube or a speed craw.(texas rig will be fine) You might try a carolina rig or a shakey head also. The fish when I was there were staged at the old shoreline.(25-30ft)As far as lagemouth I think you may have to go further up the lake for that but you may catch some around there. Good luck.
  24. Me and a buddy fished it had 3 smallies that weighed 6.15.......only 123 boats out of 242 weighed in fish. There were 12 limits caught. 1st= 18.92 2nd=17.55 3rd=17.31 4th=16.97 5th=16.86 6th=15.70 7th=15.22 8th=15.00 9th=14.93 10th=14.14
  25. I work for Tyson and am headed to Bull tommorow for the Tyson tournament. Corps have not told Tyson that they cannot have the tournament. So it will still be held as scheduled.
