    Hybrids

Last weekend it was starting up good
  4. Cajun red! Easy to find Easy to change. Cheap. I'm almost sick of all the choices. 14 lb test for the meramec 10 lb on my spinning reels. Nothing fancy for me. I have tried a lot of stuff, and fish with a lot of guys with fancy stuff. Mitch has mastered the baitcaster for sure. Okay so I admit in probably gonna buy some yozuri, but I will try it on my old curado. She is very forgiving with new line.
  5. I'm thinking I will be down that way in morn. Haven't ok'd it with the boss yet I don't really like the water color. It's a little to chocolate for me but I found some good fish the other day in the same conditions. If it's storming in morn in for sure going. That's the best possible time to hit the river
  6. Not sure about the pits Haven't slowed down to check the entry I would say under 44 bridge is fine at today's water level. There is big rocks strewn everywhere but several ways to get through it. 8" less water and it will be downright treacherous.
  7. I ran the 66 park area this morn. 1 walleye 3 channel cat1 white bunch of drum and spots. Biggest spot14"
  8. Dang ! Now I feel like a heel. I could've drug u along a couple different times. Well, Good luck in kc. Truman lake rules!!! I will move there someday. Or at least have a weekend place.
  9. I caught some giant world record size shad today behind dam on tiny swim spoons
  10. Yeah. I was fishing that last week and while drifting through my trolling motor about got ripped off in shallows. Too dark for me to see bottom.
  11. I wouldn't try to go above 44 bridge
  12. Can't get close to dam in a boat. I haven't done very well there myself. Seen a guy catching the heck out of them though. He was using surf rods. And really big lures.
  13. I love it down there. I drive 40 minutes to fish there when I can c the river from my own kitchen at home
  14. I actually cast where I know there should be fish at least 50 times!!
  15. I would bet it was a jack salmon. Post my walleye picture ?
  16. I used 4 to 6 ft divers and stayed in 2 to 6 ft water. Seen a lot of top water action up on shallow flats. Probably largemouth. I did catch a nice smally under 141 bridge. That spot is getting hammered though. Very odd looking bass down there also. Shaped like a goggle eye colored like a smallie. Caught several of these morphed fish. Not a prop friendly stretch of river. Several times I unknowingly went through 2 to 3 inch shoals with no noticeable ripple to give it away! That could ruin a rig. Did see another Riverpro. Kayser, was that u downstream in kayak from us?
  17. I was hoping for some trolling for hybrids and walleye cause that type of fishing is conducive to a boat full of women and kids . The meramec will be tough until this push of water from steelville goes past.
  18. Ha! Okay I will give some details. Caught everything !! Walleye spots smallie ( singular) drum largemouth catfish Will u post my walleye picture for me ? Can't figure out how to. Cranks! Water 75 degrees. Lotta shad. Oh I forgot the whites. 6' rise coming down so I'm headed to Truman. I feel I finally figured that stretch of river out. It's tough though.
  19. I was over the weekend
  20. It is the ultimate river boat. I'm glad I was able to show u guys the wake factors on stream bank erosion. The 60 hp boat that came by us slowly had 3 times the size wake that we made
  21. I was out on Wednesday morn with a couple guys on this forum. It wasn't the best fishing but it was fun nonetheless. I fish the meramec 3 or 4 days a week and never get tired of her.
  22. Was u out today?
  23. There has been a lot of fisherman in last week. Any of them you guys?
  24. I heard on the radio today that he got 2nd degree murder
  25. One latched onto my lab in my front yard once! He didn't release until his head was almost completely cut off ! That's ridiculous. I don't think anyone could change my mind after that incident I love dogs especially hunting dogs But...... Most folks out this way kill pits on sight. Period. End of problem.
