    Went about a mile down the lake from the marina. Water color wasn't to bad. Maybe 1 to 2 ft of visibility. Did cross some mud lines right out of the marina though. Good luck

    Went out for 2 hours with the wife today. WT was 60 to 63. Found fish on long gravel points. Caught 6 on a deep little N in a craw color off one point, and three on a 6" lizard Texas rigged. Beautiful day with lots of boats on the water. Hope everyone has a safe spring. Will post more when I get back this summer.

    Yes it is Ketchup. Plan on fishing a couple of your club tourneys. I am leaving for work in Cali this Sunday, and wont be back till late June. Hopefully I can get in on some summer events. I will be back at Cape Fair Friday for one last trip.

    Decided to try CF today. Glad I did!! Weather was perfect with a light wind and overcast sky's. WT ranged from 58 to 60.5. Not a lot of rock snot this far up which was nice. Ended up with 6 on a wart, and 4 on a homemade jig. On the way back to the marina saw a few fish busting water in a cut back. Decided to stop and investigate. Place was packed full of shad and chasing "K"'s. Caught 4more on a Plopper before I ran out of time. 1st time throwing the WP. Pretty cool bait!!

    Fished for about an hour between storms. Caught 3 on jigs and spinnerbait. Fish are fat and hungry.

    Caught 9. Water temp 55-57. Corner of docks with the Ned. Had 2 on a Deep little N. still lots of rock snot and debris in the water.

    Finally got back from Cali. Fished for about an hour. Caught 2 on a spinner bait.

    Went back to the same secondary points around point 8. Caught a mixed bag of LM, SM, and spots. Had a couple decent SM, but mostly short fish. Water temp was 74 and holding. Fish were all caught on craw colored 3XD in or around 2-6 fow. Back to California for work. Good luck, and be safe

    Put in at 7:00 to a wall of fog. Burned off within an hour, and moved to shallow secondary points. Had 2 on top water, and the rest on a 3XD crankbait. Including a nice smallmouth. Water temp stayed around 76 all day.

    Caught 5 short spots, and 2 keeper LM's. Also caught this nice Walleye on a jerkbait. All fish were released. Bass came in 5 to 25' fow. Walleye in 10' over a long rocky point. Water temp 81 deg..

    You can fish the whole bridge from East to West. Also the 1st 100 yards of shore on each side.

    Thank you. Probably be a high 9lber in the spring. Fish was released safely so hopefully somebody will find out.

    Believe this is my 1st mean mouth. Put in at Aunts Creek at 6:00am. Caught 7 on a drop shot, and 4 on top water. Off the water by 1:00. Beautiful day!!

    Caught this one on a home made jig. Scale read 8.7lbs. 25-1/4" long. Best bass of the year.

    Went to Fellows today. Saw 3 dead bass at the ramp, and around 20 more from the marina to the handy cap pier. Called MDC, and they said I wasn't the 1st person to call about it. Hope this is just an isolated event, lake turnover or low o2.

    This has me pretty bummed out. I only get to come home for short periods of time, and when I do I like to fish Lake Springfield about 3 times a week. Like JRay I bought a boat with a 5hp motor just for this lake.

    Went to the boathouse today to find out. Still no answer as to when the ramp will be rebuilt. As of now there's no place to launch a boat with a motor.

    Went last night, and caught 7 LB in about 1 hour. Than a nice sheriff informed me that you cant fish the north side of the lake after dark. Took the boat out on Thursday. Had to break ice for about a hundred yards, but ended up with around 20. A mix of LB,spots, and 1 SM. All on a jerkbait, and rattle traps. Will try again on Thursday. Water temps. should be rising.

    been making my own jigs now for a couple of years. started using small zip ties to hold the skirts. they work really well, and only cost about a buck for 50.
