  1. I use 20lb. pline mono for jigs, and 10lb. floro for the tubes and grubs.
  2. I throw both. If you have a blacklight it doesn't hurt
  3. Went last night from 7pm till 2am. Found them anywhere from 1fow to 25fow. Mix bag of LM, and Sm. Fished the points, and bluff wall straight east of point 2. Used tubes with 1/8 jig heads for smallies off bluff wall, and 1/2 football jigs for LM. 12 fish total. Best fish a 4.7oz. LM. Hope this helps.
  4. Kimberling inn has a ramp next to ahoys. No courtesy dock though.
  5. Its back to California for me. I was glad to get home for a week, and through a jerkbait. When I get back it should be summer patterns. Good luck to everyone, and be safe!
  6. water temp was 47 on Monday. Still holding there winter pattern. (jerkbait/jig}
  7. The farm rd. 76 bridge is closed, but you can fish from it. Good crappie, bass, and ctfishing. Good luck!!
  8. There are muskie in Mcdaniel. I've seen a few caught by accident while fishing for catfish, and bass. I also heard this week someone finally caught a good size walleye off the bridge.
  9. I think stupid woukd be the most accurate. I could'nt smell any booze on them.
  10. Went to McDaniel last night around 9:00, and proceeded to catch some nice bass on the west end of the bridge. It was me and a couple of crappie fisherman. Than a couple of guys came down, and tried to put a bass buggy in the water. They got the boat in, and when the guy went to move his truck. He misjudged the sloped bank and put the truck in. I was closest to him. About 30 yards away. By the time i ran over to them the truck was already going under. Both guys got out OK, but the truck was fully submerged. From there the 2 men left, and never came back leaving there boat and gear. At that point someone called the cops to report it. When I woke up this morning I called my father inlaw who fishes there every morning, he said they had dragged the truck out. There was still oil, and gas on the water though. I'll admit i've always wanted to take a boat out on that lake, but the risk is to great.
  11. Boat house, and along the train tracks.
  12. Another couple of good days on Springfield. Jig & and crankbait on main lake area.
  13. I dont think it really matters. I start around 7 or 8 and fish till it gets to hot, but the bites come at all hours. Wish we could put boats in at night thats when the real fun begins.
  14. Went to Fellows yesterday, and had success with top water plugs. Overcast skies, and cooler temps helped aswell. Tryed Lake Springfield today, and wore them out on spinnerbaits around the railroad bluff. Moved back into the river and had more fun with a KVD 1.5, and Bandit 300. Followed the channel from the train bridge to the split. Here's some pics
  15. Did good, came in 3rd with 13.40. Fished three rodeos, and 1 big tourney with 32 boats. Won our money back for all the entry fees. Fished some great lakes (Douglas, S. Holston, Boone, Cherokee, and Wataga). All around Knocksville area. Look forward to getting back on the water tomorrow. How was Min?
  16. I would like to go as a non-boater if possible. Sorry i did'nt get in earlier, but i was visiting my Dad in Tennessee. Thanks
