I was out yesterday for about 4 hours. Got 3 walleyes(one keeper), 3 crappies, and 5 LM trolling Rapala deep runner and reef runner mainly around 10 to 25 fow. I saw a flock of geese about 25 at the island near the 12 bridge(and also some at across from Rocky Branch back ramp), I guess they were waiting for F and F. I talk to someone this morning that lives aroung Avoca Hollow, he said the shad are thick right now and easy to catch. I didn't see any when I was out yesterday, but again they might be hiding from me, it won't be the first time!!

It's either I need to pick up waterfowl hunting or beg Scott to hunt more geese, I think I'm addicted.

I can now confirm that roast goose is indeed great tasting. For people that never try it, you are missing out!!

Good time to stock up on your favorite lures, I think the sale ends at mid-night. It might be to hot to go fishing now, but at least I'll be ready when the weather cools down!!

I was wondering if anyone knows about the incident beside the owner of the boat. For all the times I've been out on the lake this year, I didn't see one patrol boat.

Not much a spelunker myself, but when we have friends or relatives visiting from other states or overseas, we always take them to Fantastic Caverns in Springfield, Mo. Oh, and BPS just happen to be near by!!

Scott, you are killing me, I was out in the same area working the same bait yesterday for 6 hours, all I cought was a couple of hybrids and some small whites. I think you have some kind of magic potion that you used when you fish. I need to know what that is before next time I go out!!

That's awesome!. I want to take my two daughters out fishing sometimes this summer, but I'm afraid they would throw the rods into the lake when they get a bite!!

Last week, they were boats everywhere under the 12 bridge at night. I guess they were fishing for white that schooled there. That would be the place I go night fishing.

I actually thought real hard about getting a p/t job there so I can get the employee discount, kind of like I thought real hard about working for Wal-Mart, even just a stocker p/t, so I get to use their tennis center!!!! I know it's going to put a hurt on the wallet when they do open!!!!

Was out there this evening as well, only got a few bites. I guess they were small white tucking on the swim bait tail. Should of listen to Scott and stay on the flats instead of running around Rocky Branch looking for fish. So much to be learned, I guess be patient is one of them!!

Scott, please tell the fish to stay put. I won't be able to go out til next week. I hated when working is cutting in on my fishing time, but I guess you do what you got to do! I'm very surprised that with so many boats out there, they didn't drive the stripers way down deep!!

Thanks for the article. I guess I would need to built my platform nice and slow, with all that high end gears, I bet I can spend 5 thou easy!!
