Went out today from 4:30 til dark, caught 2 LM and 2 small white bass. Didn't see any surface feeding tonight.

I was out there as well around 4 PM. Got rained on a few times and then the rainbow came out. Had a few bites, but didn't connect. And the fish were not on top feeding at sunset like I thought they would.

From the Weather Channel, the rain won't leave the area til about 5 PM. If that's correct, I'll see you out there.

I wonder when the pros go to a tournament, do they send some of their people to scout the lake first to see where the fish are located and what lures to use. A day or two before the tournament doesn't really give you that much time to scout the lake when the lake size is as big as Beaver or is that something illegal to do?

I'm glad y'all had a good time at the tournament, I do wish one of the local would win since they know the lake well, but I guess pros are pros, that's what they do for a living, they need to be good at it. So I'm keeping my day job for now!!

Met up with F & F around 4:30, didn't catch anything til 30 minutes before sunset and suddenly white bass action everywhere, caught about 15 in 45 minutes or so, and as soon as it got dark, nothing. I thought the white bass is running now, but apparently some decided to stay around the main lake. It was a great time, too bad it had to end so soon!!

Scott, I think for your next report, how about something with space theme, like battlestar galactica!!

They are running right now, go to either War Eagle or twin bridge near Goshen on Hwy 45. You should be able to catch them.

Good read, thanks Scott. I guess I should be out looking for striper top water action today instead of chasing them white bass at twin bridge!! Maybe tomorrow!!

If we do get that much rain, is it good or bad for fishing on the main lake?

There is nothing beats spending time with good friends out on the lake even if you don't hook a big ones, it's quality time well spent!!

Struck out again today. I'm gonna have to rub on F & F's boat or something next time I go out for better luck. Saw him hooked the last one, nice fish!!!!

I think I'm gonna call F & F the Striper Slayer from now on. I was with him the whole day at Avoca, he kept hooking up while nothing is going on my boat. Next time I'm gonna tight my boat to his and see what kind of tricks he's pulling off of his sleeves!!

We do and I thank you for everyone's positive comment and support. It makes me feel so much better that I can almost forget I didn't catch anything today, even though I was with F & F the whole time and watched him hooking up soooo many times!!

I like this kind of live report, I think you should do it from now on!! It might cut in some of your quality fishing time, but for the fans would really appreciate it!!

Thank you for the interest, the family has owned and operated the Hunan Chinese Restaurant at 509 S. 8th. St.(next to KFC) in Rogers for the past 18 years and hopefully for many more years to come. I want to thank everyone that has frequent the restaurant to help us stay afloat.
