    I am looking to purchase a 4-6hp motor for a flatbottom i have. I am also looking for a trolling motor if the price is right. I have a trolling motor but it is old and needs fixed so I may just upgrade. Please respond if you have any info. Thanks

    As am I. I do like fishing in a slight drizzle. I had my best day of the year last year in the rain. Granted that was in Minnesota but its all the same.

    Sounds like you had a pretty good day Ozark Fihserman. I went with some friends yesterday also and two of us had some luck, Caught 9 largemouths over 15inches, but the other 2 only caugh a couple and no keepers. I wonder if that front had affected the fishing in any way.

    Sounds like you had a good day. Where did you catch em. East or west of 65 bridge? Wayne: I went west of th bridge. Its up by the boathouse/marina there is a pretyy good rock bluff there and i had a lot of luck there on spinners.

    I didnt that day. Went with a buddy of mine. Me and my friends useually rotate whose flatbottom we take. Maybe ill see ya out there sometime.

    Fought the wind today but it turned out to be a good day. Caught about 12 bass from 12-18 inches on some topwater and spinnerbaits. Started in the channel and only caught one, then decided to move way back into the thick grass and thats where I found them. Going to try and go back on Thursday. Did see someone catch two very quickly early on a buzzbait near the boat ramp so I may have to give that a try.

    What size is your motor? More so where did you get it? I myself am either looking to repair an old 3.5hp seaking I have or getting a different one all together. I am going to try and make it out Monday also. Maybe I'll get to say hi.

    Thats an awesome smallmouth! I was using a gold and orange Hot n' Tot. Thats the only crank I used the whole time. Im heading back early tomorrow so ill see if I have any better luck.

    Well I went out again and had mo luck on top. Did switch to some crank baits and man the bass fought hard. I had some I though would be keepers (above 15) and they were keepers but less than 12 haha. It was crazy but a lot of fun

    Went out last saturday morning and fished under every single tree tossing road runners up under them. Only had two crappie and a catfish to show for it. I love topwater fishing (dont we all) and was wondering if anybody think a bass would even consider biting a buzz bait now? Let alone it being an effective way to catch fish. Thanks for any advice.     I had a friend go out last weekend and use roadrunners around those bluffs and catch ten crappie and a bass. I may have to try those sometime.

    I just now got a boat I can take out on the water there so I'll try my luck with them. I have seen people catch them and have always wanted to but being limited to the bank it has been difficult to hook into one.

    Thanka for the info on the weeds growing. Im glad to hear that. The fishing is about to get really good, well for the way i like to fish at least.

    The more and more I pay attention it sounds like the Musky are really startin to grown in numbers and size out there. What should I use if I was goin to troll for them.

    I have never caught any crappie out of there but when we are low on fish in the freezer we eat the bass out of there and they are delicious so I'd eat them if I could catch the darn things haha.

    Haha cant gp wrong Texas rigin anything. If you want, try using the Carolina rigs with lizards in areas where bass have nests. They absolutely go nuts on these lizards. Tons of strikes! You can also do the same with a Texas rigged one too.

    Agreed about the price of those. It's outragous. I made my own and they are almost identical to the ones for 18 bucks more!

    Yeah i fish this lake almost every weekend and about three times a week during the summer. I use a lot of white spinner baits and all kinds of crank baits. I caught my fair share of 19-20inch bass last summer all with yellow and white lures. I have never caught a crappie out of there though and would like to start trying to figure out how to pull those in.

    Thanks for the tip. What color? I have a few wiggle warts... tennesee shad, purple tiger, and brown crawdad(looks like the purple tiger but brownish)

    Has anybody been out lately. Havnt made it out recently. Does anybody know if the grass across from the boat house has started to grow back and turn green?

    Me and some pals are looking for a camping spot for the 6/7 of April. Dont want to spend money on a campground spot and would like it to be near a bank that we can fish from. Wondering if anybody had any advice.

    We fished by the boat house and didnt catch any. Ill have to try some of those other spots thanks.
