  1. No, but the whites have been busting shad smack dab in the middle of the lake in water 40-80 ft deep.
  2. Stockton State Park Marina
  3. I hope Cole can become normal again. He is newly married isn't he for about one year? Had to print that barb. LOL. Of course none of my partners would verify about me being normal. Got too many rods, too many reels, too many lures, too many gadgets, and too many theories. Only thing I don't need is a weigh in bag.
  4. Since I never catch one big enough to raise that consideration, I could only search and find the four listed in Missouri one of which is there in Springfield. I do know that Texas has the Share a Lunker program and annually a lot of replica mounts are produced. It might be worth your time to check out some reviews associated with that site. And a belated congratulations. In the melee of boat LOADING IN THE DARK I just caught a glimpse. Hope to see you tomorrow. We talked just before take off out on the water. Did Cole have you sign a no competitive clause?
  5. Looks like when the MDC decided to stock annually it has really paid off . It's a testament that those fish excluding the 19 inchers were only 1-2' long in 2014 when stocked. The best estimate I have seen is that 90% + of the fish being caught are stocked fish.
  6. The depth at this water stage at Ruark fishing dock is 12' max. The fishing dock at Cedar Ridge has about 18' off the end. Either place may have fisherman on the dock, especially on weekends. From the bank or dock you might have better luck fishing for catfish provided you can secure some good bait.
  7. Should be a bunch in the back of Maze Creek by the bridge. There used to be access on the NW side of the bridge, but I'm not sure if there is still a road there.
  8. I didn't check the message board yesterday before heading to the Friday Nighter. Maybe next time.
  9. Did you order all 50 colors? I think you could get that for only $600 thru Cabela's.
  10. I have tried top water for a short duration every time out with no success. Stockton has abundant numbers of keeper fish in the 1.5-2.0.lb range. The numbers percentage wise above that weight are pretty dismal, so if searching for that big bass, which the spook in particular is noted for, you best have a lot of patience and time on your hand.
  11. I think a lot of us fish alone. Sometimes a trip is just a spur of the moment thing or as in my case being retired would rather fish during the week rather than weekends, especially when the recreation season starts. A year or two ago the Ozark Anglers Stockton site had a topic where guys were posting info regarding their boat types and other ways to identify them on the water. I made a list, but I have misplaced it. Other times there has been a meeting for a cookout for Ozark Anglers. Even a friendly short tournament might be a good way to get to put names with faces.
  12. I hope they arrested him.
  13. How did the boy do today? I think I saw where you said he was fishing in a HS tournament.

  14. You, Rodney and I'm sure a host of people are helping give the boy opportunities that a lot of kids would like to have. Thanks.
  15. Likewise SMBASSER. What a beautiful night to be on the water. First time bass fishing at night for my partner. We fished from Turkey creek back to the weigh in site. We caught fish on watermelon brush hogs and spinner baits. The size should get a lot better by the next time out. I hope they eventually fix the light on the boat ramp. I believe it was out last year. P.S. My winnings are still swimming around with three brush hogs in their mouths.
  16. By midnight the lake will have raised 7" in the last day. USGS Station number for Stockton Lake 06918990
  17. USGS Station Number for Stockton Lake 06918990. The lake by midnight will have risen 7" today.
  18. This same topic is submitted 5 times
  19. Nice fish. I start every trip with a clean uncluttered boat. That usually lasts about an hour. Have to smile about that pile of baits in the background.
  20. Do you remember the fishing dock at Orleans Trail? The neighbor next to my land at Stockton was raised on land that joins Stockton Lake and he can probably relate a lot of interesting facts about the land surrounding the lake. He said the timbered area in Son's Creek was known by the locals as Sycamore.
  21. I have never known of a fishing dock either on the N. bank That's why I asked. Thought I had missed something when I saw the map you posted for Kramr
  22. Zarraspook is that fishing dock on the N. bank in Mutton relatively new?
  23. We fished from 2:30 till 7:30 this afternoon. Started in Googer and immediately caught a big female crappie, which is usually the kiss of death to my fishing. Only caught one more short crappie and a couple of bass on 1/8 roadrunner in that first hour. Moved further up the Big Sac about 2 miles south of Chicken Rock for the remainder of time. Ended up with 9 more keepers, but caught about twice that many short fish. I got my line slimmed by a 2lb channel cat. All fish were in about the 8' range. There were still a lot of boats out when we left at 8 so I gather the after dark bite may be on, but can't confirm that for sure.
  24. Thanks for the input justfishing. On the right day especially under low light there might be an earlier bite, but I for the most part do better in the last hour or two this time of year. Guess I will find out this evening. The guy I'm going with drives a Bullet with a 250 hp that will obtain warp speed in 5 seconds.
