  1. Snook, Some of my fishing buddies have been talking about the same subject. Were mosly walleye fisherman and the lake is just not producing. The stripers seem to be down also. I'm not sure what the stocking porgram is for walleye but sure would be nice to bring it back like Bull Shoals. I know the lake is known for the great stripper fishing but that seems to be on the down size slso with the size being down. Were all goood fisherman so I know it can't be all of us...lol....
  2. RiverRunner, I was fishing above the narrow's then moved to below the narrows. I run a Crestliner so stop and say Hi if you see me on the lake. I well not be out untill after the 4th, It well be a zoo out there.
  3. I wouldn't be without GPS sonar for some of the reasons stated. On E-Bay there are some nice units if your looking to keep cost down.
  4. Went out fishing Last friday, I just bought some new Cabela Walleye Runners and wanted to give them a good work out to see if they do catch fish. I was very impressed with the lure, they ran stright right out of the box even at a fairly fast trooling speed. At my first stop I picked up a nice 18" walleye on my first pass in 20' of water, made a few more passes with no luck. Went to a different area and was I busy. With in two hours I cought and released 7 walleyes, again from 20' to 30' of water. The walleye's all were about the same size from 17" to 19". I started fishing around noon and gave up at 4:00 as the boat traffic was getting heavy on the lake. I did like the walleye runners, I know now they do catch fish. Walleyehunter.
  5. Thanks Ron for the update....I didn't make the weigh in..my information must of been wrong. If I could of found a partner there would of been 4 boats. I'm looking for a partner to fish the MWS tourny's....
  6. Was out a few days last week. Was catching walleye on the main lake points on jigs tiped with nightcrawlers. Not all the points were holding fish, the points that had sharp dropoff to deep water were key not the sloping transition bottem's to deep water.
  7. I was going to fish this tournament with a friend, spent three days pre-fishing getting ready. My partner ended up not having the day off work. Was wondering what kept everone from not fishing, not one boat from Arkansas. I fish Norfork and know there are quite a few walleye fisherman that fish Norfork. Thought there would be some from the WAG that would enter. Anyway was just wondering why people stayed away.
  8. I second the Inhibitor for keeping the rust off....use them in my gun case also. Use them as bassman stated.
