HI HAM, I have a place on Bull Shoals Lake,(my fish camp) that I go too and stay at from time to time. If you ever want to get together and fish sometime let me know...

You could try backtrolling with the 90 hp. That should slow you down to slower speed your looking for on calm days, when there's wave action maybe not unless you have splash guards on the back of the boat like have installed on my Chrestliner.

The walleye fishing is stating to pick up, been boating some every trip this week. Been catching them while trolling cranks on rocking flats along deep water drop offs close by. Been running big cranks over 30 feet of water seems to be the depth. Most of the walleye have been 20" or better or in the slot so were released. It should be only get better ....love this time of year.

Haven't fished Greers since mid March, had three walleye tournaments two on Lake Stockton, one on Bull shoals, and then the Pwt tournament were I helped some pro's pre-fish.Fished about 6 hours and cought 8 walleye. Two were over the slot size the rest were nice 17 to 181/2". Fished three different spots, each spot put out at lest one walleye. Fished mostly the main lake in 40 to 20 feet of water over flodded brush and the old shore line. I also picked up some real big small mouth bass and a few crappie. It was good to get back to Greers fishing again....what a great fishery it is. See ya on the water.

I was planing a fishing trip to Norfork this weekend. I heard from someone that the Corps has closed all the ramps and doesn't want any boats on the water at all. Anyone else hear anything or were could you find out if this is true or for how long.

I like the StCroix rods, guess that's why I have eight of thre rods. The only difference is I use Medium with a fast tip. Just pair the rods with the right reel for the correct balance. Not sure what size reel you have paired with the rods.

Waterman, what were you jigging with....spoons,plastic,or live bait. Haven't been out in a while but hope to this week one day or over the weekend.

Nice catch but I would of let the walleye back in the water and had them bass for lunch.

You could try lindy rigging. I use this system with a nightcrawler pump full of air to get the crawler just off bottom. I would start out with a one foot leader to the hook and crawler. If there is wind just slip drift the area your fishing. You can do a search on lindy rigging to learn more or I'll be glad to talk you through it.

The Greers Ferry Lake World Walleye Tournament is taking entries.This is a five week tournament it runs from February 9 through March 15 noon 2008, 100% of entries paid back. Five percent of the purse goes to the single largest legal walleye each week during the five week tournament. The week runs from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday. Of the remaining purse,the following will be paid to the five largest fish 28 inches and over cought during the tournament. 1st place 40%, 2nd place 26%, 3rd 17%,4th 10%, and 5th 7%. Tournament dinner with awards and door prizes for paid participants, will be held on Sunday, March 16th at the Fairfield Bay VFW banquit hall. Public welcome. I understand that on Greers Ferry there is a walleye tournament on the lake each year around this time of year. Does anyone know anything about this, or were to sign up for the tournament.

Iv'e had some down time becouse of my truck break down, it's back from the garage so I'm a happy fisherman again. I fished for 5 hours from 6:00-12:00. It was slow to say the lest. Only had two bites all day, one 5pd hybrid and a 19" walleye. Both fish came in the last hour of fishing when it was starting to get hot out. To hot for me so I'll try again later in the week.

Congrats to Martin, I know were you were fishing.....this is the Jigger as some know me by. Nice job catching your fish....This is my first full year fishing the MSW, well run tourny and some great guys. This was my first time fishing Bull Shoals as I mosly fish Greers Ferry. Nice lake for walleye. I'll be fishing the next tourny on Bulls in Oct. Come join the fun.
