It's a small lake with little cover for Bass. Each good spot on that lake gets hit once a week or more. This kind of stuff is bound to happen and should be expected on lakes this small. Fishing from the bank on fellows is tough to say the least...Good Work.

Well I broke down and got myself my first boat and fishfinder! I am wanting to catch smallmouth bass in the dam area of the lake. If any of you would be so kind to tell me a successful way to catch these fish, and if you are feeling really generous some key areas! Thank you in advance. I am a long time canoe fisherman born in the Ozarks, If any of you need river fishing advice let me know. ?

Fellows already has fish attractions in most coves and points. With all the rules on that lake I doubt they would allow it.

Thanks Gavin. The Boat is a 12ft Jon with oars. It is a great boat for this river it runs extremely shallow . However, longer would be better. I usually fish in it alone when fly fishing.
