  1. He was recovered by Indian Point.
  2. When I click the link for the maps it takes me to the home page. Are there any maps that show the names of all the coves on TR? I'm trying to find the names for the coves on either side of the end of YY9/County Line Road in Shell Knob. TIA!!
  3. Whoa! I would have jumped into the next county!! Over the years I've had lots of rattlesnakes here on the ranch but I admit when we move next summer to the lake house I'm a little anxious to learn the difference between the venomous and non-venomous ones. Here it is easy for me.
  4. Interesting conversation!! I did homework on COE boundaries (guess not enough homework--didn't know it was called a take line) ... I was interested in the flood levels before I bought our house in Shell Knob. BTW, that lakefront property (on a small cove) is no longer lake front since the level has dropped so low. Hope you all have a great New Year!!
  5. Are rattlesnakes protected in MO? The article mentioned a rattlesnake skin.
  6. His announcer was Fred Everett, from Kansas City (WDAF Radio I believe). I worked at KY3 back when Virgil Ward taped his shows there. Long time ago in the late 60's-early 70's. Ned may have done a few spots for him but he was the Sports anchor when I was there.
  7. Looks like Alpine Lodge at Indian Point where my family stayed last year for my nephew's wedding.
  8. No, not a surprise, just an early present...I wanted him to pick it out! Will surprise him with something else on Christmas morning.
  9. Love your forum! A little background: I lived in SWMO in the early 60's when my dad retired from the US Navy (Aurora)and then my parents moved back to California. Later in my 20's I moved back again with my first husband. I've been back and forth a few times, even a few years in NW AR, but mainly back in SO Cal...but SWMO has always been in my heart. Just had a hard time earning a living as a single mom(working two jobs to make ends meet got old). My husband will be retiring in June 2014 from teaching and we will be moving back! I work from home so as long as I have high speed internet and phone lines I am good to go. We found property near Shell Knob/Campbell Point and I will be flying back early next month to see it. One of my brothers lives in Billings and already checked it out for me. I am excited to be coming "home". I told my hubby about this forum as he is excited to be able to walk a few feet and do some fishing. I even bought him an early Christmas present yesterday at Bass Pro (yes, we have BP out here!)..a new rod and fillet knife.
